Now, as someone who has actually seen the entire show multiple times, I've a few questions rising in my mind. Along with that, I've some silly and some important observations. So here is my Random commentary on the episode -

1. Why is Buaji constantly rubbing her neck in this manner. Has she got a sprain there? 🙈😂

🤣🤣🤣She constantly has headache too.

2. Buaji says to Shashi - "Joru ke saamne Bandar ban sakat ho" which further emphasizes what I keep saying. Garima is the decision maker in the home while Shashi is the one following and adhering to it. Although Buaji here meant the dancing but this is what their family dynamics also represent. 🐒

🤣🤣🤣Buaji's lines. Garima always had a say in everything and it's her approval for Shyam on Buaji's persuasion that made things difficult for Shashi.

3. What exactly was Buaji intending to do to Khushi had Shashi not called her away?! She looked quite scary in that moment 😥.

May be say mean things

4. Buaji says "Shashi Jijaji naahi hai" on the phone. So it was someone from Garima's family / friends! Why aren't we ever shown their other family members? I had thought that there was no one from Garima and Khushi's biological mother's family left now... 😳

They never cared to even show pics of Khushi's biological parents or her back story

5. Akash and Arnav both call each other Bhai here. So the dynamics of elder bro-younger bro are not clear yet although we can see that Akash follows Arnav's footsteps. 👬

I hadn't read this post when I mentioned this.

6. Akash was in Lucknow (he says Arnav has a flight in the evening, which must be for going back to Delhi) but couldn't bother showing up at the fashion show. 🤔

Like Anjali appeared and disappeared 😉

7. Is it only me or does Akash really speak in a weird voice in this epi? It's almost like he has Paan/Gutkha or something stuffed in his mouth while talking [Need I insert a stationary statutory warning here? 😆]

8. The way that guy in the news channel sensationalized the entire thing did way more damage than the actual clipping. Did Arnav / his PR ask them specifically to do this or they just added the Mirchi masala themselves? 🌶

The tapes were meant to tarnish Khushi's image but I believe the cheap language

was by the media

9. Hey! Hooking an eyebrow is Arnav's copyright in the show. How dare this news anchor do that! (But I'll admit his dramatic storytelling can be catchy; although people like me would most likely just laugh at his antics rather than taking the news seriously 😆).

10. Khushi says "kal jo hua so hua" (when talking to the shopkeeper). So it's just the next day yet! They went out for the Urs in the morning and came back - all this is happening in the Afternoon / Evening. Woah! 2 days aren't over yet and so much has happened in their lives! 😲

11. Khushi munching on her ber and singing along "Ambe, tu hai Jagdambe" was meant to highlight how innocent and unprepared she was for the upcoming onslaught. 🥺

She's innocent who doesn't let things affect her so much

12. Khushi uses simple English words like mood, thank you, etc. So she isn't into pure Hindi speaking yet - unlike what was portrayed later in the show. 🤔

That pure Hindi thing started since she arrived in AR. Even Buaji uses words like tension etc.

I have issues at how they portrayed that someone who doesn't speak English is illiterate and dumb. Khushi was berated for speaking Hindi one of India's native language. Secondly the girl was in school obviously she had to finish her education. They never showed this about Khushi too.

Episode 4 Review :

Light-hearted epi with some moments of family bonding and whistle worthy drama.

Scene(s) of the Day -

The poignancy of the first scene hits me. Khushi's hesitation while reaching out for her mother's hand... she is still unsure whether Garima will allow her to hold her hand or go away again. And she needs assurance from her Amma that she is indeed her daughter. 🥺

The second one is when Garima stops Khushi from speaking up when the shopkeeper starts deriding them about Payal's broken marriage. But when he goes too far, Garima removes her hand - an indication to Khushi that she won't stop her now and she can go ahead and speak against that man. 😏

I love how both these scenes say so much with just a pair of hands - same people but different situations and different interpretations. ❤️

Dialog of the Day -

"Devi Maiyya ki marzi ke bina koi kuch nahi kar sakta! Koi Arnav Singh Raizada bhi nahi!"

Not for Devi Maiyya or the religious connection but for the sheer fact that Khushi huffs in victory after this sentence. She knew she had hit the bull's eye and hurt his ego big time! Arnav releasing the fashion show footage in retaliation is proof of how much this statement affected him... he wanted to prove that it's people like him - with power and money - who decide things in this world. Not her Devi Maiyya.

EPISODE 3 - Dargah Meet

Hello!

Instead of doing a recap of the entire episode in a sequential manner, I'll be going character wise. Anyone who wants a proper recount of the events can read the written update here.

My update will explore each of the characters (except Arshi) who appear in that particular episode. It will first have a description of the scenes of that character followed by my analysis of their behavior.

Note: The Character analysis is written from the perspective of someone watching the episode for the first time and being completely unaware of what is going to happen in the future episodes.

Anjali - Fusses over Arnav and his food, gets him to agree to fulfill her Mannat.

My view - Once again we are shown that Anjali holds some power over Arnav as she manages to convince him of things he wouldn't agree to otherwise. But, even she can't force Arnav for everything and immediately backs off in the end saying that she will have the food sent over. She knows she has already pushed Arnav enough for today.

Goods : I like the fact that she teases him and tries to keep things light. Arnav needs a bright and happy person in his life. And she isn't afraid of his nakli gussa (fake anger). She accedes to not calling him Chotte in front of others but that clearly means she will continue doing so otherwise.

Bads : She shouldn't have been calling him Chotte in front of an employee anyway 😅. She also seems to take too many liberties - while this maybe okay at home, it isn't really so everywhere.

I agree.

Babuji - Back to being the awesome father that he is. Says that Khushi was right in her own way but should have consulted him before taking such a major step. He is happy to get the neighbors support and then takes the family to Urs.

My view - Babuji is a good father and even better husband. He wants them to move past what has happened and is trying to change the atmosphere by agreeing to the trip to Dargah.

Goods : He admits his mistake in agreeing for the dowry demand. And he's quick to shut off Buaji as she begins taunting Khushi again. I so like the way he is a little dramatic when talking to Khushi - his expressions and eyes, he knows his daughter's penchant for drama. And he is genuinely happy in her presence I guess. Again his little gesture when Amma refuses to come, instantly calms his daughters who were worried.

Bads : We aren't shown whether Amma and Babuji eventually came inside or not, but it seems like they didn't. Babuji really can't change or go against Amma's decisions.

Yes because he's a calm and composed man while Garima gets angry easily.

Buaji - Hardly a scene there with her trying to taunt Khushi but stopped by Babuji. She then turns her tirade towards the neighbor but turns out that they weren't there for gossiping or with any bad intentions. It's just not Buaji's day today. 😆

Amma - She listens to the neighbors but later says that what they say doesn't matter. Agrees to go to Urs but refuses to enter the Dargah when they actually go there.

My view - In a way she is right because it isn't the neighbors who are facing the situation. But they seem to be talking with experience so it's not like they're just doling out random advice.

Goods : She is willing to go to Urs to ask for their daughter's happiness even when she is not in the mood to go on trips yet.

Bads : Umm... for that you have enter inside, right? What was the point of coming along? Taunting and huffing around while sitting in the car?

She's gone to give them company.

Payal - She comes for the Urs and goes inside the Dargah with Khushi.

My view - She is such a quintessential elder sister. She is also like the calming force of water against her firebrand sister.

Goods : Supportive even if it is silent. I like the fact that she tries to cheer Khushi up even though it's her marriage that has broken and she should be the one needing consolation.

Bads : Where did she run off to in the end. It would hardly take a few minutes for Khushi to put the Mannat ka tala. Why didn't she just wait around then. What if Khushi was again scolded for coming late because Payal had already reached before her? Khushi isn't a small child so it wouldn't be a big deal usually, but knowing the circumstances and Amma's anger at that time, she should have stayed.

Lol she did the same during Teej when Khushi faints. With a sister like Khushi who gets into trouble she should stick around.

1. Two of Arnav's nicknames make an entry in this episode. ⭐️ One is Chotte - although Anjali keeps alternating between Chotte and Arnav randomly here (unlike later on when she sticks to Chotte usually and only uses Arnav when she is angry / upset with him.)

2. The second nickname is Laad governor. 😳 Khushi says to Payal that everything is happening because of that Laad governor (Ye sab uss Laad governor ki vajah se ho raha hai) as they're entering the Dargah and Amma refuses to accompany them.

Both of these will become important names for Arnav as the show progresses.

3. Why is Arnav so adamant at pushing Anjali out of Lucknow. One would think he is upto something that he doesn't want to have exposed in front of his sister 🤭🤭. Aisan kaa karat ho Arnav bitwa? 🤣

I guess because he has released those tapes.

4. The neighbor is so sweet, she didn't back off even after Buaji's loud tirade. But what were the other neighbors waiting for?! They could have showed their faces earlier to stop Buaji's rant. 🤔

5. Because they specifically mentioned the name of the Dargah (Naugaja peer baba ki mazhar), I thought of checking it out. Apparently it does look the shoot was really done there (there are hardly any pictures on the internet but it does seem the same). But the surprising thing is that the Dargah is not in Lucknow or even nearby. It's in Sahranpur which is more than 10 hours away from Lucknow (by car). While they could have still gone, but they way it was portrayed seemed like they're talking of some place very nearby - especially with Arnav saying he would be late by only 10-15 minutes. Even the Gupta family just got up and made a trip on someone's recommendation - one wouldn't really go for a long trip like that. Maybe the makers thought no one was going to check up the facts. 🤓

6. Sashi and Garima look such a cute couple here. Typical husband and wife bickering and the wife huffing around while the husband is trying to calm her down. 😆

This Garima was more vocal than the one which came later who used to just nod most times except when it was about Khushi.

7. Arnav's car passed them while their's broke down. And they still managed to reach before Arnav... dekha iss purani gaadi ka kamaal ⭐️. Arnav is wasting money in buying those SUVs. 🤣

Same way when Khushi can be seen from the rear view mirror of Arnav's SUV and then she goes round and then bumps into his SUV

🤣🤣🤣🤣

8. But Arnav compensates by walking super fast. He was just walking along and yet Khushi had to run through so many passages and people before catching up with him. 🤣

Haha yes he went so fast. So much that Khushi had to jump little carts to reach him.

There are so many elements that make the show what it is. And although we always credit the cast and even the CVs for the storyline, I'm thinking of starting to include a Scene of the day and Dialog of the day to give a shout out to the beautiful cinematography and power packed dialog baazi in the show.

Episode 3 Review :

Feel good epi for most part. 😳

Scene of the Day -

The Jhaali in between and both of them on opposite sides - it is such a lovely shot. Especially the way the shadow is falling on Khushi's face while Arnav seemingly looks at her through the Jhaali ❤️.

Dialog of the Day -

"Khoon ke rishto se, Dil ke rishte, bade hote hai"

Said by Khushi in the episode but it is something that was taught to her by Babuji. And he has always implemented it, hasn't he? ⭐️

EPISODE 4 - Dargah Meet Continuation

Amma is OK. If things go wrong, emotions play a major role. But, what we have to see is how they behave after calming down. Khushi made an attempt and Amma not only patched up, but also happily and gracefully danced. Understanding the family dynamics and acting accordingly was shown nicely. She knows Buaji will scold Khushi if she leaves her behind. Shashi saved his wife and Garima saved her daughter.

Payal: Yes, they did not think through the plan properly. It was like blind leading the blind. Their thought process was good, but the execution has gone haywire.

Babuji: There is nothing to fault with babuji. He remained one consistent character throughout.

Buaji - True, Payal is her own blood, but, Khushi is her brother's adopted daughter. She needs to back off and give some credit to her own brother's upbringing. Well it took her a long to time to love Khushi.

Akash - Helping and following his big brother is fine. Even his father was working for Arnav. So, that is OK.

Mool Rajani - Mool Rajani made it to the cast? Wow! I guess, the purpose is to cement Arnav's belief that people will happily kill their self respect when it comes to money.

Shashi's side of the family can call him Jijaji (cousin sister's husband) or even neighbors. Can't they? At least we have seen some extended family of Guptas when Payal got married. But other than NK, disgraced chacha and traffic police Daadi we haven't seen anyone on Raizada's side.

I think it is from the channel itself. They are champions in sensationalize simple matters.

I agree, the way Garima first tried to stop Khushi and then by removing her hand she allowed Khushi to say what was in her mind. That shows how much she trusts Khushi.
