Guys I had an incident happen with me today so I thought I'd share it here...

I was about to get on a train when the driver asked me if I had a ticket (he wasn't asking anyone else btw) ... I was in a rush this morning and I knew we are allowed to buy tickets on this train... So I told him I was planning to do exactly that... and the driver told me "I'm afraid that's not allowed"...

So I had to miss the train and go back to the station to buy tickets... I asked the lady at the ticketing office if rules had changed and she said no you can always buy tickets onboard that train...

So I had to wait 1 hour for the next train 😃

I don't know which state you live in...but I would have fined a complaint with DART(Dallas) and blasted them and would ask them to give me in writing if the rule changed.

I live in the U.K. ... idk if it’s worth complaining though tbh, he may come out saying he didn’t know about the rule, or got confused or something...

In the end it may just come out looking like I was trying to get away without a ticket 😕

But you said you were the only one he asked for a ticket. Also, he said YOU COULD NOT BUY TICKETS ON THE CAR which was a lie.

You previously mentioned an experience about Americans asking you about your true origins, like one woman asked your daughter. The fitting response would be to look them in the eyes and say, "My daughter's an American and that is her one and only identity. Sure, I'm an immigrant, but that doesn't matter to how truly American my daughter is".

Not really. Maybe once. A drunk older guy asked do you speak English but in a derogatory tone. In Canada btw.
