Omkar
I read in one of the reviews of the show where the author complained about the time jump in the first episode of the show w.r.t Mayura's character. I would've liked to see Omkar's childhood and his journey to become Sangemarmar Sartaj. Nonetheless, it is clear that he had a deeply traumatic and abusive childhood which fuelled his obsessive nature to control his and everybody else's life around him. As a result, he turned his life around created an empire, but he also lost his sense of right and wrong in the process. But still he has a softer side which comes out with his mother, Piyush and his social work
What Mayura means to him is something that can't be defined in black and white. While he is obsessed with her beauty and he treats her like a porcelain doll. All he expects her to do is look pretty. But the times he was extremely happy with her was when 1)she distributed gifts to underprivileged children 2)Made Rangoli like his mom both actions touched his heart and they had nothing to do with her beauty, and he didn't expect these things from her. Which shows that maybe in the future he will actually fulfill Mayura's wish and love her for her qualities but the question is by then will it be too late? Will his controlling nature ruin things between them for good?

A person's physical beauty gives rise to lust. Films, serials are filmed with stories of men wanting to be marry women to satisfy their lust. Yet, Omkar who wants Mayura.for her beauty would rather practice abstinence than risk her losing her good looks owing to pregnancy and childbearing. Time and again he has made it evident that Mayura's.beauty is more important to him than his own life(fire incident). This goes on to show that Mayura to him isn't just some trophy wife even her beauty holds a deeper significance for him.
