In the age of social media how long can you keep anythinghidden? O days
Anubha and Akash found out that inder was back in town andNaina was already meeting him
From Harsha’s social media pages, to Bua to Anubha it didn’ttake long
But luckily there was no exposed body parts or Jaipur or “sleepovers”
But the intensity of the anger was the same
Viveka was off the hook since she was not involved inrescuing Naina
Dadaji knew, but Bua showed some restraint and kept thenews from Dadi
Kamal and the boys knew
“Pagal kar degi yeh ladki hamey Akash” Anubha cried
“Mujhe laga good riddance”
“I am in a good mood to talk to that woman and ask her to keepher rich brat son away”
“Arey beta nahi hai yaar unka”
“Jo bhi ho… that family is so”
“Achha Viveka Abhishek ki grad party mein hokar aayi”
“See THAT BOY I like… I like a lot”
“Raat ko aa bhi gayi time se, she said she wanted to checkon the twins’ HW”
“she is so responsible”
“Ladka bhi dhang ka hai na… he is very educated andcultured” “So what if he is middle class” Akash was gushy
“these rich boys know only how to use girls”
“That Parashar boy… I think of him and I wonder for sure”
“Kaun?” anubha asked
“Wohi?”
“Inder?”
“Arey nahi… who lamba waala jo first day apni Ma ke saathparty mein Savi ki lawn mein mila hamey”
“Arey haan… jiske saath who unke ghar par behes kar rahithi”
“Haan wohi wohi”
“Viveka is a good match for the boy… she keeps her cool”
“Gayi hai aaj milne dekho kya hota hai”
“KIS SE?”
“Arey Satyen milna chahte the, he said he could directsome funds from his company’s efforts towards her NGO”
“Koi selfish motive na ho to yeh log koi kaam nahi karte”
“Who knows…”
“Naina was the one that would tell usevery damn thing from preschool, high school everything Akash
“Har baat” Aksh agreed
“Abhi dekho itna jhooth”
“Jhooth nahi lying by omission”
“We think we know our kids”
“But do we really?”
“The younger ones have to be watchedlike a hawk”
“I told Naina last night if you thinkof going away on atrip don’t come back”Akash said bitterly
Anubha sucked her breath in
“Galat kaha?”
U have to be tough”
“Ma Bauji hai yaar yaha… tamasha kardegi ma”
“I am nauseous just thinking about it”Anubha was upset
Satyen had called Viveka in the morning
“Lunch at my place beta at Noon?”
“Umm.. Sir I teach until 2”
“Sir… nahi Uncle keh sakte ho aap… I am probably old asdirt”
She smiled
“Did u just smile?”
“Jee” she nodded “We are not related or umm.. friends so Sir or Mr Parashar is morepolite and appropriate”
“Theek hai aap aa jao 2 baje”
“Sir… I think its not a good idea to meet at your placeover a grand meal to talk about how I can help under privileged… the opticswill be so inappropriate” she said plainly
He was astonished by her honesty
“You think sharing a good meal with me hurts your cause?”
“Indeed it will sir…. For advocacy reasons… I just feel myability to represent and argue the cause of these people is undermined by superficialactivities… some of it is unavoidable, for fund raising but wherever I can Itry to be candid”
“Wow… hmm… so how about I come see you?”
“Oh?”
“Chai to pila dengi na?”
“Of course Mr Parashar.
“See you beta at 2?”
“Great”
“MAIN aapko beta keh sakta hoon?” he asked
She smiled
“That’s a yes”
“Sure” she nodded
He was a punctual disciplined man
Dressed in casual dockers, and a cotton shirt and Sperryon his feet, he brought his laptop, and waited outside her “staff room”
She stepped out to greet him in a Persian blue bandhinisaree with a dark pink border
“Walk?” he asked
“Sure”
They walked for minutes, and sat down in one of the lushtree canopied walkways in the glorious university
He kept it professional, just asked her about her journey, and her subject
She shared her favorites subjects and ideas, and issues
They walked to the canteen to grab chai, she bought him potatostuffed puff pastry, they ate in yet another open seating area and he talkedabout what his company was hoping to do
And what the involvement will look like
He shared slides and videos from his corporatecommunication department
She just shared modest numbers from a stack from herleather bag
Around 5ish out of nowhere Raanav Parashar appeared, hereapeated his shirt she realized the red and blue check shirt with the navycotton pants and Toms tan shoes
He knew his Dad was with Viveka
She looked startled
“You two know each other I hope”
Satyen cracked a silly joke
Yeah… she was finally aware of him now
“I needed a ride” said the billionaire, AS IF
“Oh”
“I can send you what you need in the next 3ish weeks?”Viveka requested politely
“No arguing today?” Satyen needled her
“Umm.. I guess” Viveka smiled gloriously
“I need to provoke her first” Raanav admitted
“We can take a break” Viveka waved casually
“Main wait kar sakta hoon” Satyen promised
Viveka laughed again
And then got up and picked up her stuff
“Ghar par sab kaise hain?”
“Great sir”
“I bet” Raanav muttered indicating Inder and Naina
She didn’t bite
“You are very convincing and persuasive” Satyenappreciated her with a handshake
“A low paying ethical job is not just for nothing” shesmiled
