Only the prince of cheels can touch it

Seriously this thing really confused me. Why did balwant say that the gandhak patthar can only be used by veer the prince of cheels (although he failed to say that adi naagin can use it too which gurumaa had said in same epi that veer and adi naagin are only two who can use it). But if veer is prince of cheels, then being his father balwant would be the king of cheels right? So why does he never mention himself as a king of the cheels or why can't he use it, but his son can? How strange. Don't tell me they are pulling another yamini with balwant and show that he is not veer father? Its just so weird.

He is probably not Veer’s real father or the cheel King. But if he is actually an enemy of Veer or not is yet to be revealed. Yamini? He is already shown as a wicked evil cheel so there’s no shock factor for him to turn out like Yamini, it could also be the reverse.

There would be something behind this. Baap aur bady bhai k hoty howy Beta cheelRaj hai iss k pichy koi tu waja hogi.

They did show yamini like this loving and worried and protective mother of ritik in season 1 till hey showed us her reality. Balwant's character has been shown exact same as yamini in that respect, apart from that, as you stated, yamini was shown as nice and good in the beginning, whilst since beginning balwant has been shown as evil with only his love for his son being his one redeeming quality.

It was the same for the lady playing Dev’s mother as well. She was wicked and evil but she loved her son dearly.

What exactly does Balwant intend to do with Veer? He keeps him away from the family business, doesn’t want him to come in contact with AdiNaagin. Keeps brainwashing him against naagins. What does he want exactly?

Balwant's concern for Veer isn't fake. Infact, the entire family loves Veer dearly. Each one of them has the ability to stand up to shield Veer if necessary. The only difference is Veer has an ethical viewpoint which Balwant does not have, and neither he has allowed anyone to have. They just follow Balwant blindly or out of compulsion. But Veer is neither. Neither he is blind nor he can be compelled.

And Balwant for now only wants to keep Veer safe, now if that changes later, I don't know. And probably he is not Cheelraj, but relative to Cheelraj. Balwant Singhania ke kuch gade huye murde hai jo nikalegi Bani. Because even the junior Cheels don't know a lot of things. They only know about the human trafficking angle which will weigh heavily against them if they change for the better, later.
