No, she wasn't.

She was better than SRK in Chennai Express and better than Ranbir in YJHD. It was her character that became iconic, and not her male contemporaries'.

She is good in CE but not better than SRK. I personally loved SRK’s humble portrayal of Rahul without trying to bring in his larger than life image into the screenplay, which a lot of stars of his stature are guilty of.

Ranbir is the jaan of YJHD. This is the first time I am hearing that DP did better than Ranbir in the movie.

I must have watched some other version of Sanju which didn't have Deepika.

Ranbir´s biggest hit is Sanju and i dont think that deepika was in it. Even YJHD was a big hit because of Ranbir not deepika. At that time he was on his carrer high.

You should ask if it is co-incidence that her 3 biggest Opening Day Collections are with srk and ranbir even though their last movie together were in 2015 😆 and her real star power was shown during chhapaak.

PC and DP were the only reason I watched BM. I can't stand Ranveer. I admit that he is a nice guy for DP. The Kapoor elders would have humiliated her for no reason just to show her place ,made her feel inferior...the pernicious patriarchy with a flimsy modern coating and toxicity would have been too much..she would have ended up with a major psychiatric disorder after getting married to the scion.

SRK was good with DP in CE
