That's the difference between Bollywood and Hollywood. Actors here are unwilling to age gracefully and let the new generation take over. Idk if its insecurity or what.

All roles are age appropriate, for ex now Tiger doing full packed actions films makes sense compared to those in their 50s.

They should now transition to age appropriate roles and have actresses their age opposite them.

Amitabh did that because he had no other option left. He had to give a series of Flops for a decade to realize that his stardom days are over.

Khans including SRK are in a better position currently compared to Amitabh's position in 90s.

And Amitabh too was romancing a 27 year old Soundarya in Sooryavansham when he was 57 years old.

Leave the Khans, Rajinikanth is romancing with actresses who are his granddaughter's age.

Superstars always try to play young lead roles till the time their egos don't deflate.

sooriyavasnm would be 51 or 52....it was a 1998 release 3-4 years later he accepted to be srk father in kabhi kushi kabhi ghum etc....and shahrukh khan is going through worse phase as well same what amitabh was in 90s

Sooryavansham released in 1999. Amitabh was 57 at that time. He was borned in 1942. Do the math.

SRK's bad phase is still not that bad compared to Amitabh's bad phase in 90s. SRK only gave 3 Flops this decade. Amitabh gave more than triple of that in 90s.

1999 - it was released when he was 57 - Soundarya was 27, 30 years younger than him

2001 - KKG he was 59 playing father to a 36 yr old SRK

I don't think SRK has to transition to father roles - but if he still wants to do a Romance it would be refreshing if the actress was within a decade of his age and the romance was a mature story with adults acting like adults.

amitabh looked old because of loosening of muscle or something . srk aamir and akshay and ajay and salman looks like guys in their early forties when they are presented well. that is the primary reason

Depends upon what he wants to do with his career. May be SRK never wants to make the shift and extend his hero phase as much as possible and then retire.

Because all 3 of the khans right now look almost a decade younger than what Amitabh looked like in K3g and Mohabbatein.

Bollywood needs more good films in different genres. Majority of our leading role characters shouldn't be so romance centric that after a certain age you are limited to parents role.

SRK went into hibernation but Aamir/Salman are still finding films as leads so they can do what they want.

Also its not a laughing matter but Big B was financially in hardship. He needed the money. Khans dont. Even Saif who is making flops is doing well in personal finance 😆
