Attempts to whitewash Kareena. Bipasha never denied it. This particular quote is regarding an incident with a designer.

Bipasha acknowledged there was tension between her and Kareena and went on to state that she will never work with Kareena again.

On the sets of Ajnabee, Kareena was allegedy irritated that Bipasha's costuming was receiving more attention than her own. Bipasha adds, "They mentioned that Kareena had called me kali billi ['black cat' -- an insult regarding the shade of Basu's skin]... and I was mad at her. Why rake up all this now? In an interview, years later, she did acknowledge she was called Kaali billi, although she didn't attribute it to Kareena directly

When you came to the film line you had comments passed on to you …kaali, kaali billi…how long it take for you to understand all this?

I am a very confident person. I try and do a lot of things in terms of character. I did Aakrosh without putting make up. I actually looked dirty and dingy in it. And I am comfortable with that. And I am comfortable looking ultra glam too. Looks is a very important part of my business. For me it’s not. I am very comfortable in my skin. Whether they call me unconventional… also, I am very thick-skinned (laughs). I’m a rhino that way. People who are not close to me, if they say something bad it bounces back. But when you’re close to me and you say something, I can cry like at the drop of a hat. But it is a very serious issue in the country. I stand very strongly against anybody who has offered me fairness creams and I have been offered all of them.
