Earlier BT shows had always had an element of some form of progress and maybe journey to begin with. Later it all tanked , that’s another story. The biggest problem with KZK 2 was this crazy story of people not moving on! People move on in real life and did so in EK shows back too. They might find their way back but at one point they did move on because they had self-respect. The females were defiant and didn’t take things lying!

Ekta’s heroines were always the heroes of her shows! Apart from Pavitra Rishta’s Archana Ekta’s women were so fiesty and driven towards their careers and parents that nothing else mattered to them.

I wonder how did she manage to create this Grovelling Prerna and Even more strange Anurag!!!

I am sorry but EVEN Archana from PR was way more Sensible than this 2020s Prerna, she was quiet not Dumb and had no latching on to toxicity tendencies. This Prerna who was born in an Modern Era and City, had proper education by no means had any Ambition except Saving Anurag and Loving Anurag and Hating Anurag. Why waste on to an Education that your parents worked their livelihoods just for a Guy with Horrible Family Morales???

Also YHM main story was not Her own creation , it was Adapted so baseline for main characters was thankfully NOT written by Balaji CVs.

2000s Prerna fought for her Livelihood, she became the Man of the House this Prerna truly was a badly written character. Atleast she made Anurag a bit different.

The REASON why Bajaj Did not work was...It was the same stuff as marrying Creepy Naveen Babu to save Her House and Anurag, she did the same with Spiderman Bajaj. EK logic that Indian Audience only works on Nostalgia was wrong for this Couple because 60% Fans of the this couple was Youngsters who did not have a tinge of Likeliness for Older man chasing a Young Prerna.

And this Prerna or Anurag or Basu Members did not even use any means or brain , they let a Lady who Killed and confessed to it stay and takeover their house. Could they not inform the Police?

Even the beloved Moloy Basu turned out to be such a weak character, He was attacked and Killed by Both Bajulika but still did not lodge any investigation probe. WHY???

There was NO STORYLINE, For calling Anurag Prerna Cursed Lovers or Lovers, there had to be a Foundation of being Like lovers beyond an escapade Physical Encounter and Dhaaga Wedding in 2018. The stuff does not make sense. No Audience is that DUMB!!!

This is the same EK who made Progressive heroines who knew how to Play smart like OG Prerna , Kashish , Parvati and now she gave this Prerna. This show was more of a Redemption Arc for Ruining Anurag IMO.And this is the Very same Balaji CVs who miraculously give us Alt Balaji Shows?? Are we in Parallel Universes??Like for REAL??

The Show Survived because of Fans of Actors and nothing else. Once they started to leave it was thankfully wrapped up. The only Good thing this show gave were below:

1. A Nostalgic HE to Anurag Prerna that was robbed in Original.

2. An Anurag who Finally had SOME Spine.Lost brains after Amnesia but Still.

3. Pooja Banerjee and Aamna Shariff's Classy Fashion Statement Sarees. Period.

I rest my case. KZK shouldn't have been rebooted, No Show should be rebooted!! she wasted too many good actors potential.

New found information for me that og Prerna was known as bhashan devi and used be bashed very badly.

Mostly in most of Ektas shows have a heroines who were pinning for their abusive partner even when they have multiple marriages , Emas , illegitimate kids ,abuse etc. And Prerna1 was a rare species. She worked and raised a kid alone. Fell in love with another man and moved on in life and married him and lived a fullfilling life . Even Bajaj confessed everything before marriage . It was Prernas blind love on Bajaj which made her not to believe it. He changed that much for Prerna . Even when she knew about Madhavi and kid Pre filed for divorce. But she couldn't let him go because more than cheating she saw his hurt when it happened. Lol Bajaj was not against and angry that Pre was helping Anu . he was hurt that she did all these with out informing him.

The problem arises when he thinks that 'She needs to inform him or take his advice'. Prerna was extremely miserable after Anurag's demise, his return and his revenge was as important to her as it was to him, she did not even tell his parents about all these, why would she inform that to Bajaj?

I was done, once I saw this track, there was no difference between Anurag and Bajaj, as Prerna said once 'When I was with Anurag, Anurag was insecure me and Bajaj and now when I am with Bajaj, Bajaj is insecure about me and Anurag'. Both Bajaj and Anurag were the two sides of the same coin, the only difference is Anurag was never shrewd and manipulative as Bajaj was, so Anu paid the price of losing Prerna, while Bajaj got to marry her. However, as I have said earlier, Prerna was submissive in her relationship with Bajaj, she was always made to believe something or feel guilty, whereas with Anurag she used to understand between right vs wrong, she could slap or judge him for his mistakes, with Bajaj Prerna became another Tulsi who thought no matter how my husband is, I love him, and that is where Kasauti 1 becomes regressive. Moving on with someone else does not make anyone progressive, Prerna moved on but at her every kasauti somehow she had to join hands with Anurag, or Anurag had to take the blame, she expected Anurag to be everything she wanted to see him, while she became and behaved like someone whom Bajaj wanted to see, had she been progressive, she would not change herself, she would know that her children, her husband and her life is always in problems because of her decisions, because of her children's stupidities, nothing more or nothing less.

Original Prerna was borderline hypocrite, and her punching bag was Anurag, Bajaj was a trophy husband too. And everything was going her way unless her children showed her that there was something wrong in her upbringing and that they did not care 😆

So in short whether 20 year back or now, marriage is the solution for majboori, sacrifice,revenge or any damn reason except for 2 two people want to be with eachother.

All these reasons for marriage is not an insult to the institution of marriage.And moreover after all these,I m sure most common dialogue must be whatever be the reason,it's marriage with few ritual and all (absolutely ignoring the substance for marriage).

In.short , I already said , her shows did well initially but later on went down in gutter....imagine kzk2 running for 8 years 😆 but this didnt happen with kzk2 as it was trashy right from the beginning..pre wanting to marry a buddha (this is also one of her fav tracks ), was received well in naveen babu so she may be testing waters ...she has mellowed down on angry man and bechari heroine marrying for revenge, multiple marriages , back from the dead with a wife and kid etc..... Whatever it is about the characters , kzk2 is also included. That time also she was criticized for her regressive content. In 20 years she has gone from regressive to..what should I call kzk2 ? Pagalpanti 😆

So, in short -- Ekta might have had plans in the beginning but had none going forward..🤣 Having no concrete/coherent plan in the interim led to everything going wrong with her original plan..

Can we just say that only for first 100 -200 episodes her shows r bearable or likable.But after that all of them become one and the same.

Certainly. There r exceptions also. All the long running shows we mentioned were good for 2 to 3 years. Yhm recently was good for years , so is kkb and kb .

I dont exactly remember why the women brigade at that time called her shows regressive. Probably bec of the cliche portrayal (housewives indulging in kitchen politics and plotting) but ekta k owned it saying that she "dared" to put women on the same pedestal as men in her shows.. n she was right bec before that dramas were not women centered. As we know,even the bollywoo stories r hero centric.

Ultimately it boils down to ones choice. Ciao !

Goes.to show how stubborn she is. Partly her shows work due to rr convictions.. there will.be a time when she will admit to making a disaster in kzk2. Or give another lame excuse of why she is forced to show stupidity on screen.

Part of me feels sad and wants.to questions her "if these shows.r.produced for the masses ,.why does she takes them as dumb "?
