Oh no, doing the Deeyarvattu with Kesar didn't make her retreat into a shell....Kesar was actually the only bright spot in her life....you will have to see the story to understand their relationship. It's a different kind of love beyond description.
Thats what I can’t fathom right now, but at the same time am intrigued to see how it unfolds:))
Losing Vasant was a blow but then there were other things she faced.....there is a character called Dushyant - Vasant's cousin who also coveted Gulaal....then some other family related issues that contribute to her trauma. In Kesar's case, it wasn't trauma....but a sense of short sightedness....she married Kesar to protect him and thought she could "manage" his life until he reached adulthood and then she could marry him off to a girl his age.....what she didn't realize was that Kesar's emotions wouldn't be something she could plan and control.
Dushyant and his family looks like the main reason for everything that happened. But him coveting Gulaal would be so much more traumatic and scary. Now you describe it, makes more sense about Kesar- Gulaal( I love how their name sounds)
Vasant's death is the fundamental event that shapes the story in many ways....but once you see the whole journey, you will realize it was always more about Gulaal and Kesar.....Vasant was a catalyst.
Panditji did say that her first husband will die but her relationship with second husband will be forever. Vasants life purpose seems to end with bringing water to Talsagra .
Million thanks to writers for not making people speak in weird, annoying sort of Gujarati. 😆 Its just so much irritating to watch those OTT characters.
