Episode 21

Jugs: Nai maa, bandar papa main ghar aa gai, kahan ho sab ke sab?

Pranati: Yahan hoon dadi amma. 

Pranati came out of kitchen and and helped her remove her bag. 

Pranati: Kaisa raha school?

Jugs: Bohot boring, sirf padhai padhai padhai. Bandar papa kahan hai?

Pranati: Apne room mein, pehle jaake change kr lo fir unke paas chale jana. 

Jugs: Okay

She ran up to her room and changed and then walked to Reyansh's room. 

Rey: Aa gai ninja? Dekh tere papa ne teri wish poori kar di. Woh rhi photos. Chal dikhata hoon

 They both sat on the bed with the box and Reyansh pulled out a few loose photos and album. 

Maan: Arre humaare bina masti? Rey bhai yeh toh galat hai.

They saw Armaan and Maan on the door with folded arms. 

Rey: Ab aa hi gaye ho toh baithh jao.

They all sat and started looking at photos. 

Pranati: Yaar yeh kya? Tum apne chauthe bhai ke bina masti Kaise kr sakte ho?

Armaan: Chautha bhai?

Pranati: Haan, chautha bhai, 'Khana'. 

Saying this she threw few packets of chips towards them. Riya came behind her with drinks. They all sat together and started telling stories behind their childhood pictures. That was the best family view anyone could ever see but someone didn't like it at all. There was dadi looking from far away with glass of whiskey in her hand. Her anger had no bounds seeing it. She was seeing her kids going away from her and she couldn't live with that fact.

Dadi: Iss Pranati ka kuchh krna hi padega.

Maan: Rey bhai humara purana camera aapke paas hai?

Rey: Haan, woh almirah ki third drawer mein hai.

Maan got up and pulled it out.

Maan: Is moment ki picture toh bnti hai na?

They took a lot of pictures with old school camera. Armaan volunteered to get them developed. They had a proper lunch after that. Pranati helped Jugnu complete her homework fast so she could practice football with her father. 

Jugs: Bandar papa yeh jogging ki kya zaroorat hai? Seedha practise krte hai na. 

Rey: Beta sirf ball ko kick krna football nhi hota, tu jis speed se bhaag rhi hai na usse 20 times zada bhagna padega. Peechhe hatna hai toh abhi bol de.

Jugs: Aap mujhe challenge kr rahe ho?

Rey: Yahi samajh le

Jugs: Dekhte jao, aapse bhi zada trophies hongi mere paas.

She restored her energy and ran with her father. At the end of the day they were really tired.

Pranati entered her room to see the cutest scene of all time. She saw Reyansh and Jugnu on her bed sleeping. Jugnu was on her stomach with one arm around Reyansh while he had his one arm around too. She gave a sweet smile and moved towards her cupboard. She opened it and a calendar is shown inside it. She crossed out a date which was right before a circled one. Her head turned towards both of them and a lone tear escaped her eyes. Just one word came out of her mouth like a whimper.

Pranati: Thankyou...

Without saying anything else she walked out of the room with a few more tears in her eyes. 

Next morning Reyansh woke up and checked his phone. There was a message from Pranati.

'Mujhe kuchh kaam aa gaya, court  mein milte hai.'

That was when Reyansh finally checked the date. Today was indeed the hearing of Jugnu's solo custody case. He looked at Jugnu who was still hugging him.

Rey(whispering): I'll miss you yar Ninja.

He got out of her arms carefully not waking her up. He moved towards the bathroom and readied himself. He came out of washroom to see Jugnu waking up. She rubbed her eyes lazily.

Jugs: Papa time kya ho raha hai? 

Rey: 9 baje hai Jugs

Jugs: Kya???? Main school ke liye late ho gayi. Nai maa toh meri jaan le leingi

Rey: Jugnu aaj hum school nhi, court ja rahe hain

Jugs: Court? Per kyun?

Reyansh didn't know what to say further. How can he tell his daughter that she is going away from him when he can't tell the same to himself? He tried to look away from Jugnu but he forgot that his daughter is more intelligent than he thinks she is.

Jugs: Mujhe aaj chunna padega aapke aur nai maa ke beech mein?

He finally looked towards her and saw that she was crying. He suddenly got worried and ran towards her. He cupped her face and wiped her tears with his thumbs

Rey: Arrey ninja aise rote nhi hai. Tu toh bohot strong hai na?

Jugs: Mujhe nhi chunna papa

Rey: Tu pehle rona bnd kr aur meri baat dhyaan se sun. Aaj kuchh bhi ho, main tujhe hamesha protect karoonga. Tu meri beti hai aur court ka koi bhi faisla iss baat ko nhi badal sakta. Main hamesha hamesha tere saath hoon. Promise kr tu ab sad nhi hogi.

He forwarded his hand and asked for a promise. She wiped her tears and placed her hand on his. They gave each other a tight hug and he helped her to get ready. There was a lot of drama waiting for them...

Episode 22

Reyansh drove Jugnu to the court followed by rest of the family. Everyone was really uncertain of what was gonna happen today. Nobody knew how much fights, how much negativity are they gonna face today. It would have been easier 2 months ago when no one was so attached to the little girl. It's weird how still everyone wants Jugnu to be with them but this time it's not because of a business deal for some. 

They came out of car. Dadi met her lawyer in front of the court room to discuss a few things. Reyansh's eyes searched for the solace of his heart. After a lot of searching he finally found her talking with her mother in one corner. 

Dadi: oh Reyansh, aithe aa

He looked at dadi who was calling him to talk to the lawyer.

Rey: Ninja woh rhi teri nai maa, ja jaake mille, mujhe dadi bula rahin hain.

Jugnu nodded and ran towards her while Reyansh walked towards his dadi. They both started explaining him of what to and what not to say in court. He pretended he was listening knowing what he is gonna do anyway. His head turned towards the mother and her daughter in the same corner.

Jugs: Nai maa, aap subah Kahan chali gayi thi?

Pranati: bas thoda kaam aa gaya tha jugs. Tum btao, khana thheek se khaya na? 

Jugs:Haan

Pranati smiled controlling her tears. She sat down on her knees in front of her and held her hands.

Pranati: main tumse abhi kuchh kahungi, tum yaad rakhogi?

Jugs(nodding): Haan

Pranati: I. Love. You. Mujhe pta hai tumhe yeh sab sunna pasand nhi hai. Yeh gale lagana ya pyaar krna, per....

Jugs(cutting her in between): I love you too maa

She looked in her eyes. It took time to register what she just said. The thing she wanted to hear from her since last 9 years was finally on her daughter's lips. Jugnu bent down a little gave and Pranati a hug. In that moment Pranati had her whole world. Even death didn't scare her now. 

PM: beta woh log court mein bula rahe hain.

Pranati gave a last smile to Jugnu and took her hand walking in the room that defined Jugnu's destiny today. Like before, Jugnu sat in the middle of the table while her parents sat on the either side. Judge arrived in the room and everyone stood up. She sat in her seat followed by everyone else.

Judge: review petition 41632 solo custody case, child name Jugnu. Let's start the hearing. Mother can take the first call

She looked towards Pranati's side to see that she didn't have a Lawyer with her.

Judge: Ms. Pranati Mishra is your lawyer running late?

Pranati (standing up): No ma'am, mujhe lawyer ki zarurat nhi hai.

Judge: May I ask why?

Pranati: kyunki mujhe Jugnu ki custody nhi chahiye.

Everyone looked at Pranati in shock. Reyansh's and Jugnu's eyes were wide as they couldn't believe what she just said. 

Judge: jahan tak mujhe yaad hai aap apni bachi ke liye bohot laddi thi. 

Pranati: Aaj bhi main apni beti ke liye hi ladd rahin hoon my lord. In 2 mahino mein maine dekha ki Jugnu apne papa ke saath kitni khush hai. In 2 mahino mein maine yeh jana ki Khurrana's chahe kitne bhi irresponsible kyun na ho, per unhe sabki bohot parwah hai. Wahan koi kisi ka saath nhi chhodta chahe kuchh bhi ho jaaye. Jugnu ko abhi abhi toh uska pariwar mila hai, uske chacha uski chachi. Uska khayal rakhne ke liye wahan bohot log hain. Usse wahan woh saare aish aur araam milenge jo woh deserve krti hai. Aur Reyansh toh ek bohot achha pita hai. Woh jaise Jugnu ka dhyan rakhta hai waise main shayad kabhi na rakh paun. Mujhe tab bhi apni beti ki khushi chahiye thi aur aaj bhi uski khushi hi chahiye. Aur agar woh mujhse dur rehke khush hai toh mujhe woh bhi manzoor hai. Aap Jugnu ki custody uske father ko de sakti hain.

Judge: are you absolutely sure Ms. Pranati?

Pranati: Yes my lord. (She sat down)

Judge: does anyone have any objection?

Reyansh looked at Pranati and tried to stand-up to raise a objection but his dadi held his hand.

Dadi(whispering): oye khote kya kr raha hai, jab yeh panauti samne se apni bachi de rhi toh tu kyun uchhal raha hai.

Judge: No? Fine. So case number 41632 is resolved with custody given to the father of the child. Mother have full visitation rights. The authorised copy of judgement will be here in 2 days, both mother and father should collect it. The court is adjourned.

She made her last statement and came out of the court room. Pranati picked up her bag and a few files that she was carrying and stomped out of the room too. Reyansh saw her leaving.

Rey: Riya, Jugnu ko ghar leja aur please uska khayal rakhna. Usse kisi bhi halat mein akela mt chhodna. Main Pranati se baat krke aata hoon. 

Reyansh ran behind Pranati. He saw her walking out fast with her mother. He shouted her name a few times but she didn't listen or at least it looked like she didn't. He finally caught up to her and held her wrist to stop her.

Rey: Aunty main 2 minute ke liye Pranati se baat kr sakta hoon.

Pranati's mom looked at her. She gave her a slight nod and she went away to give them some privacy. Pranati turned around to look at him. Her face showed no emotions.

Rey: yeh tune andar kya kiya? 

Pranati: kya kiya?

Rey: tu itna laddi apni bachi ke liye aur aaj bina kuchh soche samjhe usse Khurrana's ke hawale kr diya? Tune dekha nhi ki uss ghar mein logon ke saath kya kya hota hai. Kamse kam ek baar soch toh leti yeh sab krne se pehle.

Pranati: socha tha Reyansh. Tumne shayd woh sab dekha jo uss ghar mein bura hua tha per maine woh dekha jo achha tha. Maine dekha hai ki Jugnu ko Maan ke saath ice-cream khana kitna achha lagta hai. Maine dekha hai ki Jugnu jab video game mein Armaan se jit'ti hai toh woh kaise sofe per dance krti hai. Maine dekha hai ki Jugnu ko Riya ke saath school ki gossip share krne mein kitne maze aate hain. Aur tumhare saath jab vo football khelti kitni khush hoti hai. Maine tumhe dekha usse protect krte hue. Mujhe pura bharosa hai ki agar kabhi bhi uske saath kuchh galat hua toh tum usse hamesha sambhaloge aur tum uske liye kisi se bhi ladd sakte ho. Yeh khushi, yeh pariwar yeh sense of security, Jugnu yeh sab deserve krti hai.

Rey: aur pyaar? Kya Jugnu pyaar deserve nhi krti?

She smiled as her eyes welled up a bit.

Pranati: woh toh tum usse bohot zada krte ho. Tumhari ankhon mein dikhta hai hai ki tum usse kitna chahte ho. Mujhe pta hai ki tumhe Jugnu pehle nhi chahiye thi per ab tumhein uske alava aur kuchh nhi chahiye. Aur aisa kis kitab mein likha hai ki pyaar sirf ek maa hi kr sakti hai? Jitna ek bacha apni maa ka hota hai, utna hi apne pita ka bhi hota hai. 

She wiped her tears and forwarded her hand.

Pranati: phir milte hai Mr. Reyansh Khurrana. Hamari beti ka dhayan rakhna.

Reyansh looked at the hand she just forwarded and then looked at her face. He never saw her that confident about any of her decisions but he was still confused as hell. He slowly forwarded his hand too and shook hers. She adjusted her bag on her shoulder and turned around. Suddenly her expressions changed from confidence to sadness. Her eyes stared leaving tears and she fast walked away from him before she breaks down completely.

No no no....pranati not with jugs......jugs will start hating her....dadi hai na....what a update!!!!Please continue soonnnn....how will jugs and rey work things out without nayi maa and prani...
