1992 ? Was not even born during that time. What is the story behind it ?

Also that Jnr B's Big Bull is also based on this story ?

tell something interesting abt it. I vaguely remember how he rocked the Narasimha Rao govt .. with his suitcases with cash bribery escapades .

During that time everyone was taking about havala, Rajeev Gandhi or Narasimha Rao..(who ever is the prime minister that Time) Harshad Mehta....I never understood it. I didn’t even know what is havala that time.

Scam happened in two fronts. He singlehandedly masterminded both one in Banking Sector and the other in Stock Market.

Fake News and PR were two other facets he mastered to create HARSHAD MEHTA(brand Bachchan of Stock Market)

Found a loophole in banking system exploited it... looted all the money and directed it into stock market,. Again manipulated stock prices to the extent one stock price was increased from 200 to 9000.

Then got a top lawyer Ram Jhethmalani and exploited law sector as well.

This was an often discussed topic with my husband.

I find these scammers very interesting - Elizabeth Holmes (of Theranos), Bernard Madoff, Anna Delvey-Anna Sorokin, Charles Ponzi, Victor Lustig, William Smith - The Baker Estate Swindle (1936) :)

These people had guts!
