Yes living person can of course defend but not by maligning a dead that's UNETHICAL and won't stand in court.

Besides even if Sushant took drugs, it doesn't matter now as he isn't alive anymore to face law but, Sara is alive and needs to prove she doesn't take drugs or face the law.

Are you the NCB? How do you know why anyone was called?

Besides if we want to look at the facts, the NCB summoned only Sara and Shraddha under both FIRs including the one linked to Sushant's death probe. That definitely indicates that they wanted to learn more about their relationship with Sushant and drugs. Based on the boatman's statement that there were drug parties at Sushant's farmhouse that both actresses attended, they would want to know who was present, who was consuming drugs, etc. If this news is even true, they must have addressed these questions accordingly.

He has his family to defend him, the one who filed an FIR and made tall claims that he was “drugged” forcibly.

If they were questioned about his drug habit, they should keep quiet? What sort of rationale is this? Why should NCB question anyone in that case by that logic, because people can say whatever they want and Sushant is no longer alive to confirm it? Why have witnesses for any case?

Should we absolve everyone of their wrong doings just because they are gone?

🤦🏻🤦🏻 NCB is Narcotics Control Bureau and that's what they deal in. You may read about the organisation, the act and media reports.

NCB has nothing to sou with Sushant death.

What peddler has stated that he supplied drugs to Sara or any of the actresses? You are just going off of baseless media reports. If that is true, the NCB will charge her and it will be stated in the remand copy.

Did Multiple Peddlers supplied weed to Sushant directly ??? Zaid Vilatra n Abdul Basit supplied drugs to Sushant's HOUSE specifically to Samuel Miranda n Dipesh Sawant, how does it prove those drugs were for Sushant. That's alibi they are trying to create , Rhea n stooges were using drugs n their chats earlier in 2017 (prior to meeting Sushant) prove they consumed drugs. And they got those based on Showik's instructions. If NCB didn't believe then why would they arrest Showik ??

"The NCB had claimed that Parihar, the alleged drug peddler, had told them that he procured drugs from Vilatra and Ebrahim, on Showik’s instructions. He also claimed Showik told him to give drugs to Miranda. The NCB officials had also said that Showik’s phone messages include one in which he asked Miranda to pay Vilatra Rs 10,000 for 5 gm of ‘bud’, a curated form of marijuana."

And ofcourse if NCB will take action if they are able to verify Peddler's claim about Sara.
