Meh, personally think she’s milking both sides from personal observation. Read a few pieces after she was nominated for VP on her trips to Chennai to visit her grandfather as a child, the idli she used to eat, her trips to her local temple and what not lol

I like Tulsi Gabbard , not sure how indian she is , have embraced Hinduism n is US born but someone people think she is indian. She is way more capable though, better than Kamala Harris. Loved the way she destroyed Kamala in debate .

She did not embrace Hinduism, her parents were Hindus. I liked her too, she was a strong contender. But she's not Indian, definitely not.

Nobody thinks so either except for maybe some ill-informed Indians.

Lol it’s a common misconception, more than you probably think. When you hear the name ‘Tulsi’ they assume Indian because you don’t get Hindu converts as such, unless they’re Hare Krishnas.

there are also people who go to yoga retreats in India up in the himalayas and then come back and call themselves yoginis and become a lifestyle coach and change their names...
