I would say none of the political party know the mindset of Indians like the present governing party.

They know that the public always enjoy the news of glamorous industry , the downfall of them, especially the actresses. It is entertaining than their boring interview. I laugh every time when Arnab roars the "Shocking revelation of Bollywood stars ", I mean seriously? Stars using hash or weed is a shocking revelation,people really believed that they were doing puja and satsang when they were partying?

In last 5 years I hardly saw any headlines like shocking price hike of essential things , petrol , diesel , increasing rape case in india , series of abuse against dalits, forget all this they have even stopped giving coverage on corona pandemic, in TOI or in Republic channel . Channel got almost live commentary from NCB , but they never got information regarding a bill in discussion before the procedures in both sabhas . The channels were not bothered about the wide use of weed in Banaras, Rishikesh or in other holy place. But it doesn't have any news value right ? After all , our generation is learning life from Bollywood celebrities so the cleaning process should start from there .

Some parts of Rishikesh are known for rave parties. Many foreigners flock their for drugs.
