My mornings were filled with all kinds of divine musics, hymns and mantras. Most of them were of SPBs. It starts with Venkateshwara Suprabatham, Gadyam and ends with Siva stutis, ashtakams. Those were the most simple and happiest days of my life. I think I should get back to that routine again.
I am yet to come across a better version of Srinivasa Gadyam by any singer
His dubbing in Annamayya for Suman, who played Lord Srinivasa made me believe perhaps, God's own voice would be quite similar
Aced songs like Jagadananda karaka and other other Carnatic classicals despite not being classically trained until then.
He was the emperor of the Parallel universe of semi classical songs for all the classical counterparts. His Annamacharya keerthanas are my all time favourites for healing.
My favourite lullabies
SPB's voice has made me wonder several times that perhaps sweet isn't something that we eat, it's what we hear whenever his songs play.
His duet with Janaki is something else
RIP legend 🙏🏻 Ulage azhinjalum un Kural azhiyaadhu. Thank you. We will always cherish your contribution to music industry ❤️ Om Shanti!
I am annoyed at the way people are wearing the mask at his funeral. Cover your nose people, pandemic isn't over yet.

Thank you for sharing those wonderful songs Paperboat.. Aayarpadi Maaligaiyil such a soothing lullaby it is ..
Also I love his Sivapuranam rendition and Annamalaiyar songs .. bringing us to another realm where we can feel the divine presence of the Lord Himself.
He always appeared to be a warm, genuine yet simple person based on his interviews, with his kind smile. Truly one in a million and an irreplaceable loss.
@Sandy- Oh god! Such a terrible phase for your Sis's friend and her family My prayers for their quick recovery 🙏🏻
True Sandy, already social distancing went for a toss, they should have atleast worn the mask properly.
People are being completely reckless. First they roam around without a mask and if we ask them to wear it, they would either take offense or make a stupid comeback like 'everyone is eventually going to get corona, so, don't be scared of no mask'

His rendition of Siva songs are surely unmatched. Even if one hasn't prayed in ages, one could instantly connect to God the moment SPB starts singing and I am not even exaggerating.
Which reminds me of this PERFECT song, sung so brilliantly by Vani Jayaram and SPB and Bhanupriya's bharatanatyam made the song even more beautiful.
SPB was truly a good human being. Apart from all the charitable works, he had helped out his friends and even their families after freinds' demise because they helped him during his struggling days in the industry. Unlike many, he never let fame consume him.
