It's a shame the writers could never do justice to Prerna. I guess it was because Anurag1 was not written properly and to justify Anurag2 here they forgot Prerna2. Come what may, it's a fact that no ITV show can have a real logical plot, they need to add tit-bits of nuisance and if the makers don't then the fans definitely will because of how aggressive they become when the scenes do not happen their way or if the show is good people don't watch it and hence, the makers change the story for trps.

The show is sure a flop in trp not even in top 10 nor among normal audience , it is still popular because of fans and social media .. The biggest failure is story nearly CVS do they have any story while starting KZK2 ? and the most pathetic character is Prerna right from her agree marriage to naveen, then sindhoor marriage with anurag, getting pregnant and claiming anu her pati leaving in the same house with anu & komo then next marry bajaj it's for anu sake daclaring her marriage with any not valid and in this serial only I got to know how many types of marriages we have in KZK..Atleast the old KZK2 Prerna which is made in 2003 is so much better stronger, independent than this 2018 Prerna belongs to this generation.. Ekta know that the story is star cross lovers who love but seperated, then why she not go to the route and doing the same pati , pati aur sauten and kitchen politics.

I don't think if CVS are strong have convinction they could have write the story especially after leap Prerna hating anurag and taking revenge while slowly falling in love with Bajaj, in anurag life bring a popular good girl who love him help to bring komo truth forward a true friend, supporter and lover help him to build the business again getting the client and profit giving takkar to prerna. I am sure fans also would love the fight business fights rather than a cat fights komo will secretly try to destroy both AP all 4 become one and send her going to jail. Both AP realise their feelings changed continue as only friends, all become family friends meeting functions and vaccation with their kids and suddenly the four will die in a car accident and show KOMO release from jail....A leap of 20years.. bring their kids as adults a new season..

There is so much potential especially I thought after 8 year leap Prerna taking revenge on Anurag, both nothing is there same old gisa pita story again and again giving lollipop of AP scenes...I realise CVS will not change and now happy atleast the going is ending...It's CVS and Ekta who did have no sense or knowldege what this generation girls feels they may feel in love but what to have an individuality and carrier who will just walk away instead of running and living in her lover and komo house, even if fight to give right to her child pregancy sake and don't sacrifice but get ready to marry another man for her lover sake ,and why komo love and still marry knowing anurag loves prerna and now also still living with him can't understand ? Bajaj will come to live with prerna in anurag house and later leaves and again save prerna and goes away to another country what is this CVS are showing is circus in this time also ..A normal audience or even FF writers are much better than writers of KZK2 didn't understand why Ekta take them at all .. No need for big budget or big names or set if the story and writing is good so Ekta concentrate on content instead of package because fact is how much attractive the package can be if the inside material is not good quality people will throw them in trash, just like this show didn't get appreciation from normal viewers like me.. Ekta mam please stop making junk shows as reboot without any story..

I agree with your premise about the leads. I think the issue is with the dialogue delivery, Parth does better there, Erica has diction and nuances issues, however she does great in emotional scenes.

I feel this is the reason why Anurag has more monologue and longer scenes. This usually put the story from his point of view. For the ITV audience, the viewpoint is usually female centric, which wasnt the case here.

The writers, with their absolute lack of cohesive story writing skills, have done the greatest disservice to this show.

I don't believe any actor/s single handidly can save or doom a TV show. The writing and relatability make or break the show. Would be unfair to think anyone in TV land holds that power, even EK is fallible.

i agree with all your post but highlighted the above because it's a really good & different thought out story line 👍🏼. see better suggestions here in IF.

I am super late to this thread, but your post echoes a lot of my sentiments too. I wouldn't say the show did not work, but it was underwhelming for sure. Nostalgia of the first season did more harm than good, as is the case with most sequels. However, the show wouldn't have had a reboot if the earlier one was not successful, according to metrics relevant then.

I keep harping about the writing, or the lack of it mainly. The apology of a ML will probably take away the suffering of the FL, which makes her mahaan. She forgives despite being wronged, cheated upon or taken for granted.

The writers of this show have made no efforts to give any depths to the characters. The leads don't learn (guess that's the TV universe) but here every characters is single toned. They ham the same things without ever giving things a second thought. What is biggest issue today for a character will be dropped like a hot potato by tomorrow, such is the disconnect in writing.

The meat to perform came far and few, lousy sequences made for so much screentime. What is the need for so many members in Prerna's family? Not one person is with her, her own mother voices out what Anurag thinks/speaks. Could have easily trimmed the cast to give good actors like Shubhaavi, Prerna's mom some content to work with.

The nostalgia of Komolika and Bajaj drove fans to The show, but look at them. For me they are caricatures of their original selves. Bajaj poor guy, is made to dislike his child for some reason. Why will audience root for a happy ending for him? Only loyal fans don't get any TRP, it has to be common people liking the characters, they won't keep watching for an actor. Komolika, is the devil incarnate (Aamna is superb) so she has no single redeeming quality. So the leads have to unite to be separated for their next impending wedding kasauti.

Evoking such strong fan reactions is where the show is a massive success. I am not a regular TV viewer, but the kind of topics and the bile spewed on this forum can't be good for anyones mental health. Maybe because I don't care much for the offline things, those issues probably warrant such reactions.

the shitty writing is the main reason. there's no plot whatsoever & no logic, but i noticed that's common amongst the board across Indian Tv Shows. Every show consists of the male & female lead getting together & separating then reuniting. no matter what the male lead does the female is expected to still love him years later & isn't allowed to move on (the ML doesn't even apologise or even show remorse). That is very regressive. i understand that these are fiction shows & for entertainment purposes but REEL does affect REAL. i don't know if most shows are like that that's why the audience expects it or vice versa? there are a few shows where the story is little different & can be appreciated but these are few & far between.

also characters are separated into HEROS & VILLIANS. people evolve & change in real life but here they're not allowed to. 1 dimensional characters are boring & affect the story being told. people make mistakes & learn from them or fail, that's what makes it interesting.

coming back to KZK, the show has so many interesting characters that could have served as good sub-plots but the story is reduced to the couple of AnuPre. KZK is only breathing because of this couple or rather the popularity of the actors playing them. KZK is supposed to be an epic love saga of A & P but AnuPre are written as the most stupid & toxic relationship I've ever seen. eventhough I'm not a hindu even i find the heavy religious tones given to such a couple very insutling. (they are human & flawed so shouldn't be compared to religious deities).

I've seen on various social media platforms that most AnuPre fans are actually Anurag fans & not Prerna, same with PreRish & Bajaj. no one really roots for Prerna because she's that badly written. i found it more interesting to watch Anurag & Bajaj's tashan filled scenes, they had so much more chemistry then the actual couples did 😆. all the characters are written inconsistently except Mohini. when a show is reduced to a couple & no story it won't fetch interest, TRP's or anything.

another thing I've noticed is that when the show has fetched good TRP's is when the writers had a firm story plot in mind (however small). The trio of Anu, Pre & Kom worked because it was 2 WIFES fighting for their HUSBAND (P was always shown as A's wife during these plots) I've realised the audience is willing to accept this more then 2 MEN fighting for a WOMAN especially when the woman in question is MARRIED to 1 of these MEN. again i don't know whether the audience expects this or all the shows just show that & that's why it's expected??? i won't go in to the sepearate characters 'coz people get too defensive over their favourites then things become ☢️

people on social media platforms like this can digest & analyse the show all we want but the reality is that the majority of the audience watches on tv & they expect the dutiful wife who's good, submissive, only loves the hero, is willing to fight for him, forgives all his mistakes etc etc....(my observation)

what's so frustrating is that the makers had all the ingredients to make this a great show but still managed to screw up

P.S these are just my thoughts & i mean no offence to anyone & you're welcome to disagree 👍🏼
