Actress Rajeshwari Sachdev, who recently made a comeback on TV with the show Shaadi Mubarak, has tested positive for COVID on Wednesday evening. As per sources, Rajeshwari had mild symptoms since the last two days and this got herself tested. "Though Rajeshwari was not coming for the shoot for the past few days as she didn't have scenes to shoot for, she developed mild symptoms like low grade fever along with weakness. After waiting for two days, Rajeshwari got herself tested on Tuesday for COVID-19. The reports unfortunately came positive on Wednesday evening," informed a source.
However, none of Rajeshwari's family members have been tested for COVID -19 yet. "Her husband, actor Varun Badola and her son have not been tested yet. They will be tested on Thursday, however none of them have any symptoms as of now," said the source, adding, "In all probabilities, Varun too will not be going for the shoot of his serial Mere Dad Ki Dulhan for some time till the reports of his test comes."
When contacted, the actress confirmed the news but didn't prefer to say much.
Rajeshwari plays the role of the Rajashthani housewife Kusum Kothari, who has single-handedly managed her house and four kids in the show Shaadi Mubarak produced by Shashi and Sumeet Mittal. However, an official statement from the makers and the channel is awaited. Even the actress is yet to release any official statement for the same.
Recently, a large number of television actors like Rajesh Kumar, Himani Shivpuri, Karam Rajpal, Sachin Tyagi, Parth Samthaan, too tested positive for COVID-19. Rajeshwari's serial's shoot will reportedly be stalled for the next three days as a precautionary measure. The fate of Varun's show depends on his test results.
