I think it was the director who shared this bit that during the shooting of the movie, hrithik was stopped by the security from entering the set location as they thought he was a local person instead of a Bollywood actor. Cause at the time hrithik wasn’t popular as it was his first movie.

Also his costar shared this pic from their audition for the movie

Sonali referred herself and Hrithik as 'beginners' while sharing the picture. She had said the War actor to had the 'boiling passion of a beginner' during the audition. She further also revealed an interesting fact wherein she had to stuff lots of cotton in her cheeks during their audition to make her face look fluffier so that she fits the part of Hrithik's foster mother in the movie.
