Tbh in the grand scheme of things its not even that bad. A lot of husbands in the Asian countries still don't allow their wives to work and even the wives sometimes don't work unless their husbands encourage them to do. Well there could be an issue whether his permission was important but even for males, they ask their wives if they should work at a certain company or do some business or not. Not to forget most of the characters in that movie were useless AF especially the women.
