On target: Mouli Ganguly and Shivaji Satam in Saaksshi
Shivaji Satam, who plays ACP Pradyuman in CID, will visit Saaksshi on Friday. In yet another crossover in soaps, the ACP has a special task on hand. As Satam puts it, "My purpose is to help Saakshi. I help her nab the traitors and the forces that are working against her."
Both CID and Saaksshi are thriller soaps on Sony and this channel crossing is a bid to renew interest in the shows.
CID focuses on case studies under the team led by Pradyuman, while Saaksshi starring Mouli Ganguly focusses on her exploits as part of anti-terrorist squad.
According to Siddharth Malhotra of Cinevistaas, producers of Saaksshi, "The idea concept to have a popular face from another serial make an entry into Saaksshi. Instead of introducing a new character in the show, it made better sense to have ACP Pradyuman in the show."
