Your every point is so aptly thought n said regarding the conversations that this show can stair up🤗😊

Totally agree.. Ones culture once opinion goes with him/ her wherever they go

We might feel what ever Meenu said n did today was heartless.. Was insane was dum idiotic.... But I guess in rural India n in many urban houses to women aren't treated as a princess if she's declared as incapable of baring a child... She's taunted, people speak behind her....... Ask her or expect her to get medical help, some help n last resort being another marriage, sarogacy etc..... I've literally seen this happen in our neighborhood n ashamed to say in far off relatives house to🤢

People aren't all roses to you in such situation

Really loved how Abhir is standing with mishti.. Really felt bad for Mishti when she declared that she can't live without Abhir n begged bade Papa not to take her back......

Meenu representing 60% of Indian mentality (this is the least prevent I could think😆)

I'm extremely thankful to almighty for giving me amazing parents just like you😳

I actually liked the Tashan between Abhir n Meenu today.... Meenu had never declared a war so openly with Abhir......

I had shivers literally when at the end she says

* you want to know my plan, wait for it, wait for the explosion*😳

this women is in some other khatarnaak level

Loved everyone's acting today........

Actually eagerly waiting to see what happens.....I think Mishti will back out...... Remember about did say that even if you go I'll come right behind ya always n never leave ya....

So Mishti may go but Abhir will be Stern n will never leave Mishti

Plzz I want to watch the episode again for their performances😳

Bold- me too. There are many such people in our surroundings and relatives too but my parents are always there to shield me and teach me how to shield myself.

Why was mishti waiting for BP to take her away , she herself should have gone out of that sick place ! Self respect above love anyday!

So mishbir will leave the house and to stop them , the suicide drama along with surrogacy demand

Felt sad for all of them

Mishti because oh well when was she happy last time

Abir for having a misfortune in life called Meenakshi rajvansh

Kunal for being a *sautela* and a *galti* in life

Kuhu cuz ultimately her concen about kunal being neglected was right

Parul cuz she was yet reminded of her aukaat

But you know for whom I feel sorry the most , the baby...does this family even deserve a baby ? They don't want to celebrate a new life they just want to use it for their own selfish motives

Shame on humanity !

Uff remember Abir's 'dhamki' (or vaada in Abir's language) to BB during kunal's wedding. I would love to see that Abir, who can blackmail BB into accepting Kunal and Kuhu's child as waaris or at least blackmailing her into accepting mishbir's fate of Mishti's infertility.

but haan I really also want mish to decide once in for all, Abir & self-respect or RV house & constant negativity. It can't be that hard to choose right?

Par humari mishti tho is known for "pura duniya ke problem apne kande pe le rakhi"

Bold-😒Yahi toh problem hai

Just want to share a few things today:

What I really appreciate of this show: no matter how quirky or dramatic it may have become

  • Watching these tracks/episodes with the family (my mother) has actually helped initiate conversation and start the process of de-sensitising these relatively taboo issues. We are actually beginning to talk about these sensitive topics more (and that's definitely a good big step towards the end goal, well done makers and thankyou to actors like Shah and Rhea, Sanjeev sir, Lata ma'm & even Rupal ma'msmiley32, they are all equally important).

Yes, it's nice that these topics can begin to be discussed easily without personal involvement.

  • Even though I live abroad and understand I am privileged to be so, it is easy to assume that we don't face prejudice or gender inequality etc here. But that is definitely not the case at all. The severity may be different compared to India and certainly rural India too, but remember to note; when Indian people migrate to a foreign land, they not only bring themselves, but they bring their mentality, and opinions and values. And obviously these values are still the exact same as what many people still living in India also have. Other times, the new land and new society can influence a better open mind for these individuals, which is what we hope for, but sadly it doesn't a;ways work that way so easily.

Oh most definitely there is prejudice and gender inequality everywhere. Less in the some places, but still present and insidious.

So all i guess I'm trying to say is, it doesn't matter where you are in the world, women (indian/asian women) continue to face various degrees of regressive injustice. And the stigma/hesitation to openly converse about such sensitive but critical issues, still exist.

It is also not limited to Indians/South Asians living abroad.

Also like to point out something about the mixed reviews about the tracks:

  • Yes we have a proportion of people/fans (primarily visible on sns and forum) that share open minds like Abir and want other people to also move past the conservative bubble, which is ofcourse wonderful and brings hope into humanity. BUT please try to understand: just because you and I may share values like Abir doesn't mean the rest or majority of the population does. You cannot just say, 'we live in 2020, and yet we still see CV/makers create characters like BB or vulnerable mishti'. NO you cannot just simply disregard the fact that people like BB do exist (or at least people with her mentality and opinions) do still exist. HOW are the CV/makers supposed to show the importance and value of beautifully written characters like Abir, Mishti and BP, BM...IF you don't allow them to show characters like Meenakshi or Jasmeet (and Kuhu too). You cannot be selectively blind and deaf to only want/see what you want to see/hear. You need to accept everything that comes with it - IF you want to see a strong positive abir the dhal and angry chorni, then you need equal counter-part of negativity and injustice through BB. Remember it's a two way street. I understand we are fed up seeing/hearing regressive and hateful characters and dialogues...BUT that doesn'

It is hard to maintain character consistency and show these things in the show is what I feel sometimes, but it is true that these things happen even now. I had my son 8 years after marriage, and when I went back to India for his first birthday, my parents' maid (same age as me) said if she had not had a kid for so long, she would have been kicked out of the house!

PS what was the end of that sentence? 😆

  • also show us how to respectfully stand up for your rights against regressive elders.

So true Nandu. Just keep at it I guess. You always find a way to see the positive side of things. 🤗🤗

Haan Nandu.. But for that drastic decision she has to believe that abir will not be happy with that family even though he loves them.

Here time and again either she is made to believe that she is breaking a lovable family or she herself witness Abir's longing to be with the family.

Tough choice but she will learn it in a hard way...

From Angry Violent Chorni she’s become a bheegi shivering billi who is always apologizing to every Tom Dick and Harry

Sorry to say love has made Mishti a weakling, Abir couldn’t save her self confidence which started breaking bit by bit from the day he broke her heart

@bold: I agree that dreadful day Abir broke the rishta, broke her heart, broke her self confidence and broke her completely. With no proper reason, her entire future with Abir was shattered and robbed😭 Abir had no idea how much Mishti went through and how deep her wounds were exposed again.

I accept that Abir did a grave mistake. And we indeed witnessed the suffering he went through as well. And then again we saw him beg and apologise at the hope of getting Mishti back in his life.

Mishti's self confidence can only be held up, IF she ultimately chooses to rise above all her insecurities. Ofcourse I know it's even 100x harder when you have people around you constantly putting you down and reminding you of your past/worth. But like Abir says, 'there is only so much a rock can withstand the blow against a wall, ultimately will break too' and that's exactly what Mishti is facing. In order for her to get to THAT state of mind to even have the strength to overcome/grow out of it all, Abir plays an important part. BUT I still believe it is ultimately Mishti's own choice. That mental choice she makes to be strong (Whether it be to fight back or ignore the negativity) is not possible just with Abir's 'promises' and love to make her ziddi etc. It 's mishti herself who needs to get out of that headspace, Abir can only guide her, mentor her and support her which he does a fantastic job of. And that's why she needs to accept Abir's long-time request to leave RV house, get away from the negativity, she needs to move on from that tag of 'home-breaker' that constant need to satisfy everyone or fulfil everyone's expectations, and learn to live for herself, for her own sanity and for her future with Abir.

How will they convince kuhu to be surrogate. Right now kunal kuhu clearly know where thy stand in meenus eyes. Kunal will agree for abir but kuhu. She dosent love mishti so much that she will bear so much pain for her. Or will meenu threaten to throw kunal out of property n office n house n force her.

What plan is meenu talking about that she will do suicide drama n convince abir for 2nd marriage. And why hasn't surrogacy crossed her mind yet. I will be extremely disappointed with abir if he gets fooled be meenus suicide drama and heeds to her demands. They should just call the police and send her to therapy because she is suicidal. Last time he became all pighlo when Meenu did run away drama n fell from mandir stairs. So easy to fool abir kya😕

By the way, shouldn't mention it here, but first 6-8 minutes of shaadi-mubarak more than made up for the dialogues I had to listen from Meenu today. Love Kusum! 😊
