In between he had a few flops. Kat was very hot at that time-might have needed someone like Kat to get financing for films. Guzarrish and Sawarriya were flops and in Bollywood you are only as good as your last few movies. Sawarriya was Ranbir's launch and flopped and I remember Hirthik put a lot of effort and hopes on Guzarrish. probably nobody big wanted to work with him till his next few hits came along.
