Even during the baba track, there were a lot of sequences I really enjoyed. I liked the scenes Abir had with Kunal, nanu, Meenu. I liked the scene where he reminds nanu of the pact they made when he was a teenager and talked about his first love and how his nanko would deliver his love letters to her. I liked the birthday scene with MishBir; and the scene where he was so apologetic about calling his mother a monster. Those, IMO were good scenes and I tagged along with Abir's story.

What annoyed me the most during the Nishant track was that on ITV it was impossible for a girl and a guy to share a deep, platonic friendship. Why did Nishant eventually have to develop weird feelings for her and conspire to ensure that she married him> Why did he have to have a jealous streak?

I have childhood besties that are guys; one of them is my person for life and if I needed him to help me in the quest to get the love of my life back then I am sure he would help me. He would roll his eyes, lecture me on other fish in the deep blue sea, grumble, complain, hold it against me till eternity but he would help. He is the Alex to my Meredith(if you know, you know). So, it boggled the mind then that Nish could not remain the bestie he was and had to turn into a jealous lover.

P.S. I wonder why we did not get a shaadi like Kaira for MishBir. I was expecting a Kaira level ki shaadi though. I still remember the promos from back then and how amazing the Kaira vivaah promo was. I was surprised there was no "please come and be a part of the Mishti Abir shubh vivaah" promo.

ITV ka to logic samajh hi Nahi aata. I initially thought Nannu already had a gori gf who he was hiding from jas. May be the writers changed the track all of a sudden.

Regarding not getting a lavish wedding, may be RS wanted to keep mishbir different from Kaira. But yes, there was no promotion for the wedding at all which was very disappointing! And inserting kuhu’s face in between important couple rituals totally got on my nerves. Ek min b chain se Shaadi enjoy Nahi kar payi!

I meant that he deserves many more (all infact). I'm commenting overall. Including his other work. He gets more appreciation for best jodi than as a lead/actor, in my opinion. Or he gets popular face or something. But best actor!! I'm sure that's the award actors want to win for their talent and hardwork, anyday.

Lol, this is the second time in the last 24 hours where I have given a scene's reference and then I have been asked the exact episode. Guys watch S1; all these scenes are in S1. Its the scene where nanu goes to Abir's secret hideout; and Abir says he loves everyone unconditionally but when the love is reciprocated it comes with conditions. There was a dialogue there about how they all promised when Abir was a teenager that they would all help Abir when he fell in love.

MerLex are BFF goals. Sometimes I wonder if ITV can have MerLex or a JoLink or even a properly written Sookie and Lorelai or a Lorelai and Rory or a Lorelai-Luke-Christopher. Oh American TV, how you have influenced my expectations.

MishBir are different from Kaira BUT I feel MishBir deserved a lavish shaadi; they had been through so much. They needn't have had a destination wedding BUT at least they should have had their wedding without other people wanting to marry the same day at the same time and even trying REALLY HARD to make sure the mahurat was over. I was realled p-ed off;

Kaira are lucky -- they are loved; Bhavna loves them(but I cannot blame her Mo and Shivi are just gorgeous as Kaira and LOVE being Kaira so obviously a writer will want to keep writing for them just like I feel Sha loves being Abir so obviously he will play Abir so well), star plus loves them, the TRP audiences love them. They have O more Saiyaan if MishBir have Dheere Dheere Se; and they have Ek Duje Ke if MishBir have Saathiya Mere. Their opening sequence is sooo cute; anyways I digress. I just wish MishBir's show has the same luck as Kaira's show because I remember Bhavna saying in a live that their show was also going through a tough time during the Kaira wedding track similar to what our show is going through now. The only difference is they did not have the added stress of COVID-19.

I hope something happens and we can watch MishBir for longer; I wish the writers were not bound by TRPs. I feel sad when I think our show might be gone soon if it does not pick up.

It doesn't matter; Indian award shows are hardly the Emmys, the BAFTAs or the Golden Globes. I know people are like let's not run after awards in the west well then make sure your awards are the equivalent of these.

Then again ITV needs shows like Killing Eve, This is Us, Better Call Saul, Big Little Lies, The Crown, The affair. Its a whole different kettle of fish; the sensibilities in the west vs the sensibilities of the audiences that give an ITV show its TRPs.

You'd think shows made for OTT platforms would be better but somewhere I truly feel that those shows are wannabe shows that try so hard to be worthy of a nod from Prime or Netflix but end up just being a wannabe show; why would i watch a show that wants to be like a Netlix or Prime show from the US or the UK when I can watch the original on Netflix.

As for Sha, he is a good actor; we all know it; plus I saw an interview where he said he only wants fans to appreciate his work.

i just feel whole leap was bought in forcibly. meenu had actually realised mishti cared for abir so much n then suddenly switched. Abir just giving in to her blackmailing was so not Abir, And he has been switching character from then. I always felt baba track would be where meenu would let go of her extreme dislike for mishti. hence baba track should have been brought later after marriage

Yes they brought baba track suddenly.. I think nannu aane wala tha.. Remember mishbir convo during previous janmashthami, they were talking about nannu.. But I guess they changed the plan n introduced baba track n then nannu was bought after leap.

This is just the beginning, Abir ka toh character itna butcher karenge na ki pucho mat.. In yrkkh all the leaps were bought by butchering the ml's character n here also they're going to the same thing.

Even I wanted baba track after mishbir wedding but ab jo ho gya so ho gaya. But even the baba track was toxic bcoz mishti was lying to abir n then she had to solve the entire issue all by herself. I didn't enjoy the last part of the track n bcoz of it mishbir goddhana also got spoiled.. Ek bhi mishbir wedding ke functions aaram se nhi dikhaya.. Sab 2 min mein nipta diya nikita ne🤬.. When will meenu accept mishbir n mishti n will get positive uska toh sirf jawaab ambe maa ke pass hai

Bcoz he isn't interested in yrhpk since the beginning.. Neither is he interested in mishbir nor is he interested in making the show more popular.. He is only interested in his favourite n want her to get all the limelight, headlight tubelight n attention 🤪

It is getting rather tiresome trying to ask people to see things from his POV as well.

And yes i believe he should have told mishti the truth and found out a solution meantime. The Abir i knew before that wouldnt give up so easily. He wouldnt hurt mishti the most where it mattered to her abandonment of loved ones. Abir always knew how to balance his love for mishti n his love for kunal. he dint choose one of them even when kunal asked him to choose one and got distant from him. And till when did he expect that kunal would not know the truth, someday he would know it. he could have slowly told the truth to kunal. he knew how meenu was a bad infuence on kunal and was using his trust on her to the point that he fake married kuhu. If his mother was a villain and would just throw kunal under the bus he should be knowing the real truth and if he believed meenu really loved kunal then he should have realised that meenu wont do anything to destroy kunal. I never saw Abir trying to figure things out and find a way before deciding to break up with mishti.

We have to agree that the breakup and leap was planned by makers to add extra drama and the character of Abir was sacrificed for that. This was not planned initially in the story. And Abirs character was compromised when he was doing kuhu jhaap and left mishti alone at resort too. his character was compromised when he expected mishti only to solve the problem between her n kuhu and forced her to bend. His character is being compromised since the breakup time. varun track was the only time i felt old Abir before breakup was back

And there is nothing to be touchy about Abir. Actually i liked Abir more than mishti. i warmed up to mishti only later when her engagement with kunal broke. But if the makers are compromising on his initial built up character for drama & for their twisted story then i am going to feel that he is acting unlike Abir & I am not going to defend the Abir forced on me by the makers for their extra trp & drama

Threatening to leave from the house was a tactic Abir used everytime to make meenu give in to his demand. He even used it during kunal shaadi literally forcing him to marry & meenu was left with no choice back then because he threatened to leave. . what stopped him from telling his mother that he will listen to her demand n leave mishti but will he leave the house and go away forever. she can choose what she wants. If people have another explanation that meenu would still threaten to tell kunal the truth if Abir left then the makers dint show Abir exhausting this option.

You are putting words in my mouth. I can also say you are being quite touchy defending your POV. No one is being touchy. I am just stating that I am glad I did not watch S1 whilst on this forum and formed my own opinion and enjoyed it without having to defend my thoughts and feelings about Abir at every.given.step.
