No media trial of Sushant case: Press Council - Page 5

This press council is like the cops in old bollywood movies who arrive after everything's done and dusted. 😆

I was watching some clips yesterday and was really disturbed by the physical hounding of Rhea and her family outside their house by the papz and so-called journalists, hitting them, throwing stuff at them, shoving mics at them and so forth. What the hell do they even want?!! She hasn't been proven guilty yet and people need to hold their horses instead of acting like wild animals. The lack of humanity is truly astonishing.

Something is seriously wrong with the media too, they print anything without any fact-check and will even make up outlandish lies to click bait or sell their stuff. Indian government needs to find a way to hold them accountable for what they write or publish if they are completely baseless. Only direct interviews are reliable at the moment--everything else is just noise.

Not Press council, but judiciary should step in to put an end to this non-sense media coverage.

i m not cold hearted and i understand the arguments but shes prob playing the victim card here, trying to gain sympathy as her PR exercise with sardesai horribly flopped

Yea she apparently paid 50 crores to be able to interview but that could be just a rumor.

I definitely don't support people who blindly support Rhea and have been spouting baseless theories about SSR and his family, far from it, but even criminals have rights, don't they? The right to justice and the right to not be proven guilty without a due course of law is a very basic right of every human being.

Some of the clips I watched yesterday were disturbing and made me question human civilization on another level! She could very well be guilty and people can say whatever they want, but nothing's proven yet and I think people should show some restraint for humanity' sake!

Someone really needs to put a restraining order against the press wale vultures--to not be seen at least a mile radius along her house.

Puppet council ko bahut jaldi hosh aaya or is it that other party started speaking now hence this statement. Anyways what they say flies past through the section of media which has already done the trial, noone pays a heed to what this council says.

agree,everyone has a right to a fair trial. the key word being "fair". this has been an absolute farce. sardesai travelled to mumbai for this interview but BMC did not quarantine him. no counter questions to rhea while shes given all the time she needed to propagate her lies. she asks for security and mumbai police arrives at her place at the speed of thought and so on..

this case has been horribly lop-sided in rheas court since the start and it is only because of the media that we might even get some semblance of justice so i personally thank god we have an absolute bat-shit crazy russian circus level of a media.

Perhaps I'm letting her emotional appeal get to me but I've always been in two minds about her. Somewhere deep down, there's a girl who MIGHT (emphasis on might) be innocent and lost her partner in a shocking way. If that's the case, people need to be able to answer themselves and live down what they put her through too. It's been barbaric.

I'm definitely thankful for the people power that made the CBI inquiry happen. At the same time, people shouldn't ditch the most basic human instinct in the name of seeking justice. It could have been done with a bit more grace and humanity is all I'm saying.

Woh sab toh thik hai but is there a council to assess Mumbai police’s dismal failure in carrying out their job...only if one could read “Mumbai police sent back to school to re-learn how to do their job”.

Only Supreme Court has the authority to give a directive on this matter. Dunno what this press council is. Does it hold any power?

If anyone has complained about Smear campaign and defamation then such publication has too be stopped under IPC 499.
