True Karan is horrible. But don't you think preeta should fight back as well? Or atleast leave with dignity and not give him opportunities to walk over her? She has a very strong inspiration at home. Her mother,sarla. Who blasted her husband for cheating on her even though she has 4 kids, girls nevertheless and then showed him his place and kicked him out of her house and her life. If that's not a strong woman I don't know what is. And this was ages ago, and sarla was still brave enough to do all that. And now despite sarla telling preeta not to get involved with luthras she still does it. Even after knowing they'll never accept her.

I am not blaming her completely because that'll be victim shaming but she does have responsibility here. She was never completely helpless. Except in the situation where Karan left her in the middle of the road. That was a huge betrayal and she could have learnt her lesson then but she didn't. Everytime it got worse. Mahira's case wouldn't have happened in the first place if she listened to her mom and not gone to luthras again and again. Yet he brings her out of the problem which he was indirectly involved in and she forgets everything to celebrate holi with him? After the leaving in the middle road thing and the mahira accident case,whatever went wrong with preeta only she is responsible for it. She saw sherlyn and mahira plotting, she could have taken a video of it in her phone and just shown to Karan and Rishab,not even the whole family yet. And that'd have been of help. Or she could have just stayed away completely which is impossible for her so forget that or when she did wear mahira's wedding dress she could have come back in a bold avatar. She could have threatened them saying she is the first wife and she'll take it to police and stuff instead of being dumb and the same Rona dhona avatar. She could have done so many things to avoid being in the place she is. She didn't have to go for karwachauth or stop the engagement or ask mahira to back off. What self respecting dignified woman would want to be with a man who left her in the middle of the night in the middle of nowhere after promising to cherish her for life especially knowing he has absolutely no regrets for what he done? Karan treats her like a slave because she lets him. Kareena treats her like dirt because she lets her. Has she ever tried fighting back the luthras with proofs and valid arguments instead of crying?

I don't feel sympathy for preeta one bit. Initially, yes but it's high time she should have learnt her lesson and I thought she did but lol. Them showing her so weak is insulting. She is not helpless but she is acting like she is helpless all the time. Karan is terrible,I am not denying that one bit. I just strongly feel that preeta could have prevented all this happening to her.

Anyone else notice Preeta is naturally a very sensitive girl? Even in past episodes, when it comes to seeing people physically fight or when someone screams really loud, she flinches hard and even tries to cover herself sometimes for protection? In the precap, Sarla screams at her telling her to get out of her house and she covered herself as if a hand was going to be lifted on her. It’s her sensitivity that people take advantage of and I really hope she becomes more strong once she enters the pagal khana as their daughter-in-law because this sensitivity/crying isn’t really going to get her anywhere...

Victim blaming is blaming the victim and using that as a load to take off on the attacker. In no way have I ever justified what Karan did and me asking preeta to fight back after so many times of Karan betraying her is to ensure she uses her brain. And asking preeta to fight back has nothing to do with her being a bad person. Are you saying that a better person is supposed to be spineless? And yeah I agree with mahira situation but what about the others? Sure srishti was responsible in a way for everything,but preeta has a brain of her own right? She can make decisions for herself right? And if her getting walked over leads to her in trouble then shouldn't she change that?

Pragya is everything you mentioned in the first paragraph but also never compromised on her self respect. Why couldn't preeta do the same? Is it only considered as helping someone when you are compromised and humiliated like she was? Whatever happened to self love. have a weak opinion of women. I just personally don't see self destruction as something helpful in any way. And how do you respect someone who doesn't value their own respect? I get helping man, but if it reaches a point where you and your family is always humiliated multiple times and your upbringing is questioned and your life is destroyed then continuing to help someone who does all that is stupidity after a point. In real life you won't. In fictional world, people justify saying she is a wonderful woman. And the fact that wonderful woman means having to lose the value of self worth is kinda ingrained in a lot of young adults minds who probably won't fight back like preeta did. And that's not good. It's okay to be strong. In real world we have to fend for ourselves and that means your action has a consequence for better or worse. And that worse could be considered victim blaming. As there's a very thin line between holding responsibility and victim blaming in such situations. I completely understand why you thought that way. Because it could be inferred like that. And I apologise for being a little intense here because I am just tired of women in itvs being treated like this and not speaking up and that is shown to be a good thing which in real life isn't at all.
