Daniel Radcliffe arrived for the premiere of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in London last night with 18-year-old actress Katie Leung, who plays his first love interest. He described his new co-star as "beautiful".

Katie, from Motherwell, beat stiff competition when she was chosen from 5,000 hopefuls to play Cho Chang, who attends Hogwarts school.

As the stars of the film were greeted by 7,000 screaming fans, she said: "It's inevitable that a few girls are going to be jealous but everyone in the crowd has been lovely to me."

Some of the female fans had queued in Leicester Square since 5pm on Saturday to see their screen heart throb Daniel, 16, who was appearing as the boy wizard for the fourth time.
