Initially media reports said Sushant was being treated for depression for six months.. she believed the reports because there was no reason not to.. she did NOT diagnose him nor did she claim to have seen any signs

Alleged involvement in a prostitution ring is a crime.. no one tweets about alleged crimes..

Deepika talks about depression because shehas had a close experience with it.. she doesn't have close experience with crimes

Having depression is equivalent to being involved in a crime? Do the fans even realize what they speak before jumping in to support their idol?

Posting based on what you have seen over time = speculating. It’s a Bollywood forum so we are speculating always but no one is saying she said/he said without bringing the facts/video on the table.

I never expected you to accept that article as a fact. Let me requote what I said about it in my previous post:

I don't agree with Kangana's statement that mental health is not a medical illness. There are people who genuinely suffer from depression and mental illnesses.

However, I do agree with her on Bollywood using it as a means to make money and made a mockery of it. They have used this illness to get book deals, endorsements, or to project an image to the world to get more visibility for themselves. I have no doubt that these so-called celebs do not care for anyone except themselves.

How quick were they to label SSR as mentally ill the moment news of his death came up. They did not even bother to find out, it was an immediate chain reaction. why shouldn't they be called out?

Deepika with her repeat after me messages was awful or the Bhatts with their bipolar/Parveen Babi theory, even Swara desperately wants to label him mentally ill, do you know him better than his own family and close friends who vouch that he wasn't depressed or mentally ill.

Even if it was suicide, does that mean he was depressed, do every depressed person or mentally il person commit suicide????

If anyone knows Bollywood, they all follow a herd mentality and also have a chain reaction, if one starts, the rest follow to suck up to the camp they belong to.

You know the worst thing, they preach to us, they preach to us as if they are superior to us, this holier than thou attitude, this elitist attitude who think they can preach to us as if they know better.

You don't have to be a mental illness specialist or psychologist to bring awareness to mental illness or any topic for a matter of fact. She's experienced it and since mental illness is so stigmatized, when someone influential speaks about it, it encourages many to speak up and seek the help they need. Bill Gates has a polio foundation. Is he a scientist, biologist or doctor? No. Many celebs are UNICEF ambassadors. Are they educated in that field? if you can believe what DP says and take it at face value , then learn to extend the same courtsey to others.

Also, awareness doesn't mean nothing for days and then post to build a narrative. lastly, someone truly working in the area will go beyond some superficial tweets. How much of her effort into truly understanding what families or support system should do if a close one is going through it..

"Talking" has become every tom,dick, harry's goto advice without knowing how and when.. so don't even try to go there!

The point to note is simple, what she did was not awareness.. she labelled someone depressed very subtly.. and has she commented on any other social injustice - no?!

Say, whatever.. for whatever reason, Kangana managed to keep this topic alive.. and we atleast know that SSR was murdered.. if you can't appreciate that, you need to rethink your priorities

And lastly, people have made a mockery of depression as an issue. It has become a fad word - anything happens everyone becomes depressed. And "talking" is not hampering someone to talk .. you have to let people be and let them open up of their own accord..even professionals first try to get the life back on normal track, get a person to bring discipline back in life..

Look depression, let professionals handle it.. if somebody wants to use it as one of their brand/pr activities, that is also fine.. but the moment you start labeling people and softly alter perceptions, that is plain wrong

If you don’t post it every single day then you’re not genuine! I remember after this incident a lot of people came forward and talked about their inner struggle. What’s wrong with that? Isn’t sushant’s death creating awareness about dirty politics in Bollywood and nepotism? I can say the same thing why now? Why happened when he was alive?

sometimes people feel they’re all alone and they want someone to listen without judging.. sometimes it’s okay even if it’s just a stranger..sometimes even professional work doesn’t help .. so everyone has their own way of dealing depression..

If someone likes deepika can come out and talk about her depression then we can do it too.. this gives a lot of people the encouragement to come forward and talk about their mental health
