Deepika never claimed to be a psychologist.. she did not diagnose Sushant's condition.. she believed media reports that he was suffering from depression.. world of difference

She wanted to spread awareness with her posts.. as many people did in social media.. I remember a lot of people posted “if you’re depressed talk”..Even I was shook to the core and posted my story, it’s good to know that you’re not alone.

And lastly, people have made a mockery of depression as an issue. It has become a fad word - anything happens everyone becomes depressed. And "talking" is not hampering someone to talk .. you have to let people be and let them open up of their own accord..even professionals first try to get the life back on normal track, get a person to bring discipline back in life..

Look depression, let professionals handle it.. if somebody wants to use it as one of their brand/pr activities, that is also fine.. but the moment you start labeling people and softly alter perceptions, that is plain wrong

if you said she said or did something then it’s because there are either video/interviews proof. If that’s not the case then it’s you and everyone OWN speculations but don’t put it on her.

You said there are plenty but you sent none so you can just admit that’s your personal opinion or your feelings but saying she specifically said it is wrong.

I repeat to you again--I don't care enough to invest my time reaffirming what I said with "evidence" -- like it or lump it. :)

P.S. People post here based on what they have seen of these celebrities over time--they don't all have one particular clip up their sleeve to throw in people's faces in the name of "proof." 😆

Exactly. DPad should let the professionals talk and educate people on depression instead of acting like the messiah of it. The most she is entitled to do is share her personal experience and that's about it. She has a foundation and she can fundraise etc for it. But what she did that week of SSR's death was deplorable.

But given the star worshipping that happens in India, it got to DPad's head and she thinks she can dole out "nuggets" on depression per her convenience in the name of imparting wisdom to jantaa. Make no mistake, there are plenty of people who lap up her nuggets over what the doctors might tell them--that should make her more cautious about how she approaches the subject matter but alas.

You don't have to be a mental illness specialist or psychologist to bring awareness to mental illness or any topic for a matter of fact. She's experienced it and since mental illness is so stigmatized, when someone influential speaks about it, it encourages many to speak up and seek the help they need. Bill Gates has a polio foundation. Is he a scientist, biologist or doctor? No. Many celebs are UNICEF ambassadors. Are they educated in that field? Their association to the cause is more about raising awareness and providing resources. Nobody is going to Deepika or any other celeb to look for a treatment.

You quoted English-tracknews.com which is a random blog speculating about the reason

while you said there are plenty of clips out there where she is insinuating.

But you quoted a random website such as English-Tracknews.com and I should accept that as a fact. Even if it doesn’t correlate to what you said. You said she said so I am waiting to see where she said. Don’t send me speculative articles only those where you said she said.

Posting based on what you have seen over time = speculating. It’s a Bollywood forum so we are speculating always but no one is saying she said/he said without bringing the facts/video on the table.
