My Review: this is my unbiased, non-Dharma/Alia viewpoint opinion:

The movie itself is great, its nor too slow, nor too fast....its not too long which is great. I didnt get bored once, which was great. Wasnt too preachy or OTT.

Pankaj Tripathi was casted very well! The way he looked at his daughter my god...it radiated how an actual father looks at his children, it was crazy. I think this is one of the best on-screen fathers we have had. The mother was casted well too and Angad Bedi looked too old to be Janhvi's brother.

However, the biggest letdown was Janhvi. The passion and fire was missing. There are certain things she can do well - she can cry well, I like her laugh as well........and she is very good at the whole "coy" thing...........but she is not good in dramatic, loud or scenes that require aggression. That one scene where she has at outburst at the hostel is enacted very poorly. She was not able to portray her frustration, aggression or outburst properly; it was too mechanical.

Also in some scenes she looked really bad, especially with the bleached sideburns going down to her jawline, what was that all about? Her facial features are too harsh to look at.

I would give Pankaj Tripathi 5/5...the movie 4/5 and Janhvi 2/5!

Film makers need to do thorough research before making real life films/biopics esp when it comes to armed forces

Ohh even I noticed the sideburns & was wondering if she forgot to do threading or something.🙄

But the disclaimer said “ based on a real story”, doesn’t necessarily mean all details will be accurate

Atleast thr basic detailing should be accurate like the SSB exams, qualifications etc, her sneaking out at night... and the embarrassing episode during war where the brother shows up to lecture and then protect his sister lol..

Bold - This was the most hilarious part about the climax. He's present everywhere, almost like tracking her every move. He's even in the IAF control room. Wonder from where he got so much time to spare in a war situation. It was really embarrassing to watch this part.
