You enumerated pretty much all the reasons why she's getting the extreme hate from people:

1. She's Mahesh Bhatt's - who's associated to Rhea, the one who's been accused of abetment by Sushant's family - daughter.

2. She's very close to KJo; lately, the first things that come to mind when one thinks about KJo are 'nepotism' and 'lobbying', so she, being KJo's laadli is inevitably gonna be at the receiving end.

3. "Kill Sushant" - the association of Sushant to death in any way is obviously now sensitive for many.

I'd personally also add the awards factor. It was ridiculous to see her win awards for Safeena over Rani in Mardaani 2, Sanya in Photograph and Priyanka in The Sky Is Pink when her performance was nothing great. So that indicated privilege - something that is irking people lately especially when there are so many rumours about people boycotting Sushant/outsiders in general in the industry.

But I agree that people aren't being very rational. It's not directly her fault and there is a part of me that feels bad for her, even though she's a part of that dirty Bollywood system.

Being sensitive and being a total idiot are too different things.....anyone who takes offense over a marry , date , kill is either an absolute idiot or is just trying to gaslight other gullible people who have no idea about this stupid game ..and just know that Alia talked about killing Sushant...

Please let us not call these people sensitive..because the sensitive ones wouldn't even pay attention to it in the first place...there are so many other things of Sushant to be sensitive about...

And yes, unfortunately there are people who can only hear the "kill Sushant" part. Wish they could question the context in which she said that, so that there wouldn't be so much of irrational hate spewed at her today

i think that is because she is the shining example of mediocre talent being gaslighted to audience as something great... everything about her is manufactured (fame/movies being curated/performance reviews).. plus she doesn't seem to be humble either..and also i guess her dysfunctional family and K Jo connection adds as well...

She benefited the most and was the poster child for neptosim

Because her father is involved in spreading BS about Sushant. So she’s getting hate for that, also

The Bhatts went out of their way to mock the audience just like Sonam did. Difference is Sonam doesn't have a movie coming out. Alia does.

No, Alia didn't do the mocking. Her family did. But then, she has always had other people to pull the dirty tricks for her.

If Shakti Kapoor says something tomorrow, there will be some who hold it against Shraddha, but there will be a sizeable contingent which supports her.

Not the same for Alia. Because of her silently accepting all the help and indeed, demanding privileged treatment in many instances through other people's clout and not her own, not many now believe she is innocent in all the remarks made by her family with re: the audience.

Thats why im confused. She is bringing in the bank. Someone who is failing left right and center. An still getting chances. I think that would arise more issues but I guess to each their own
