maybe i am reading it wrong but i got that vibe from Ani Mini scene. He tells to himself that Mini is his love and she is important to him all the time, probably thats why repeats it to Mini also.

I just feel he finds Rudhita marriage very wrong as he is so dead against child marriage. He is like this era guy so he feels it as something very wrong, so even avoids thinking about it. And so if anyone tells him pati patni he gets angry and goes into denial.

And i also feel he keeps Bondita in very high regard. Look at his expressions when he is speaking about her with Saurabh. Jo tark kar sake, jo badlav chahe etc. He considers her as someone equal to him. He sees her as someone similar to him. Which he never does for Mini. Someone who is capable of giving his saath. I feel when Saurbh gave that idea he thought of Bon only and when Saurabh suggested Mini he was like nah!!

About his and Mini scene,maybe he still look at them in the same way before marriage. But,Ani is living in bubble of his dreams regarding that and one day someone will burst it-It can be Bon,Kaka or Saurabh. He will get a reality check regarding his Mini shini jaap.

And I don't think he will ever see Bon from Wife's angle before the leap but he may see and consider her like more than responsibility, perhaps, a companion❤️

He looks at her as his partner not wife. Because the term *wife* and *marriage* is huge thing for him. Why shouldn't it be afterall he was going to propose someone months back for the marriage. Remember how beautifully he decorated the terrace for marriage proposal?? He was planning to marry Soda so for him what was between them he thought that is what it should be between a man and woman in a marriage. About marriage he is bit influenced by English culture,like there should be love and compatibility between two persons for marriage....so how on earth he could think about his and Bon relation in that way???
