I was rewatching early episodes recently, just after Mishti started working at the NGO Ketu also asked Abir if she can also work there but Abir just laughed it off as far as I remember

During lockdown I rewatched the entire season 1 and abir didn’t laugh it off.. kunal dissuaded ketu.. but when ketu tells abir he says done deal.. infact he wanted to know if mishti had any extra boyfriend.. that episode this happens.. and abir tells her you get me this info and your job is done deal.. infact later just before lockdown also I think he tells ketu to start working at the ngo

But Abir didn’t give NGO job to Ketu back then nor recently. Ketu didn’t help him find out Mishti’s boyfriend so he also didn’t give her the NGO job.
I love Abir’s character but both he and Kunal are too protective about Ketu and dismissive of her capabilities

Beech Mein they even showed Atul working at Red Pear Travels but whenever Ketu wants to work family waves her off

he didn’t dismiss her capabilities.. he gave her freedom.. it also is dependent how much ketu is interested in working.. he gave her a free hand.. if she didn’t persue it what exactly should abir do.. he gives freedom to the women in his life.. to work or not to work.. it’s their decision.. not like he dissuades them or says no.. that’s what makes him cool.. coz it’s cool that women work but it’s equally cool if they decide to be homemakers..
