It’s not just our show, most ITV shows have multiple shadi ceremonies, festivals with elaborate choreographed songs and dances! The parent show has them, this is the PH trademark. All these families have loads of money to hold multiple weddings functions with all taam jham, snazzy costumes and jewelry and choreographed Bollywood dances. Rich desi families copy these serials, last year I attended a wedding in India where they copied DKP style weddings and even danced to a theme song from the parent show 😆

There was a show about a middle class family Sapne Suhane Ladakpan ke, in that one 3-4 weddings were cancelled on D day, we were wondering on our forum how much losses the heroine’s Bechara dad had suffered after paying for all those cancelled weddings, mangnis etc

Sorry to say even Abir and Kunal discouraged Ketu from doing a job, even when Ketu asked her brothers if she can work at the NGO or RJV company, both denied her request

Akshara’s Saas was very strict and sometimes nasty too but not manipulative or plotting/bullying type, nor did she ever try to separate Naitik and Akshara as far as I remember. Of course theirs was an arranged marriage so sasuma had welcomed Akshara willingly not under duress like Meenu
