I had to put this out here because it was something that I was thinking about for a while. I hope the mods don't close this or merge it with the Sushant thread - this is a general discussion on a few things that have been reinforced in my mind, and I'd like to think others here might feel similarly.

The one thing that keeps annoying me in Sushant's death is Bollywood's silence..and the few that aren't silent are siding with Rhea..but, low-key. Fair enough, you want to show support towards Rhea for whatever reason..then show it out in the open. Come out and display it with confidence and let everyone know why..but to do it subtly in the name of faux feminism, or because they know Rhea since whatever days or personally..or whatever the case is is quite frankly cowardly to say the very least. If there are two sides to the story, and for anyone in this Bollywood 'fraternity" who feels that Rhea is in the right...similar to there being a justice-for-Sushant side that is loud and upfront..be that side for Rhea and show your support loud and clear - IF you TRULY feel she is innocent. The problem is, it's not loud and clear..it is subtle and misleading..and THAT is obnoxious and disgusting. It's almost like they want to display neutrality which NEVER helps the victim. And the victim in this case is Sushant..such people by default go against Sushant here - a fellow actor/peer/acquaintance etc. who died a mysterious death at the age of 34 years old - and THAT is wrong on so many levels. Silence and neutrality by default tells us what side most of these people are on. I will say "most" because I would like to believe perhaps 1% of them have some humanity in them and are just afraid to speak up due to repercussions.

This year has taught a lot of us several things..and one thing that it has taught me..as I can speak only personally here..is that always try to speak up for what is right. I know it is hard..I admit it's not easy to stand up alone when the crowd is all moving in the opposite direction as you..but there is a thing called conscience...and as long as I know I somehow in some way sided with what was right..I could say that I tried my best - and I am talking at the very least here. Everything with Sushant that has happened thus far and with the silences of many that actually knew him at some level..just reinforces that even more for me personally. I am not saying I know what happened to Sushant, all I am saying loud and clear is that Sushant and his family deserve justice.

Feel free to share any takeaways so far from your sides.

No. Its best to stfu when you dont know the details of something. Hell, we dont even know if its a murder or suicide yet. What should they talk about? Hang Rhea without a trial, like the media has? Or defend Rhea without knowing facts?

Maybe the "other side" could learn from them in this case and stop being so loud and obnoxious about something that they have very little "facts" and information on.

Frankly speaking, there aren't enough facts to crucify anyone. People are going overboard with hate and venom, which I don't support.

The need to vilify anyone without proper facts is problematic. That's why I don't support Kangana, who is using Sushant's death to further her own agenda.

Being silent is smarter.

Ppl don't even do the right thing over here on IF. Its usually just herd mentality or why should we get involved in something which doesn't concern them. In an anonymous forum. Where no one knows your name, no one can do you any harm, its not going to affect you if ppl think bad of you for your opinions. Members here are so concerned of their "reputation" on an anonymous forum.😆

So imagine how hard it must be for the celebs to do it when every word they say is scrutinized. They are going to face the ire ,whomever they support. Their words are going to get twisted. Their actions are going to become the topic of debate. Online hate is still fine, but who knows it might turn into something more serious. When you have some idea of the ppl who are involved in the crime, if they are influential and you go against them in a country like India, your career can end in a second or worse they might lose their life too. Look at Vivek Oberoi, he stood up to Salman while Aishwarya disassociated with Vivek and his claims. N her in SSR's case , it might have indirect connections to CM of the state.

What if things take a 'U' turn at a later stage of the investigation? It is actually wise of them to not talk about a sub-judice matter. Though if you want to compare this stance of theirs with their Sanju we are with you rant then fair enough but back then there were no PR vultures around these poeple to "manage" their every breathe!! So they used to some times show their real feelings and beliefs. Now these puppets are not "allowed" to do that anymore.

I don't think anyone should say anything at this point

Fact is, most of BW people wouldn't even be following this case closely as such so them taking sides with half baked knowledge would be bad, even more so because they have a wider reach.. At this point, it has become so difficult to separate fiction from reality that unless one closely follows the case, picking sides is wrong

They can't come out and say we don't trust the Mumbai police and want a CBI investigation.. that would send a very wrong message..

They can't really deem Rhea as right or wrong because the matter is still under investigation

At this point, the best thing would be do lay low and let investigations get complete.. Making it all about Bollywood would only derail things as has happened once

What if they badmouth Rhea only for investigations to reveal that she was innocent after all.. What if later it is found that someone else was responsible for everything? It is best to let investigations get complete and then say anything

What else did you expect from a group of narcissists and criminals ~ empathy? 😆

Its better if they don't say anything, it's hard to trust them anyway.

I have been following this case since day 1 and the only thing I can say is Sushant and his family deserves justice. In my opinion, I do not give benefit of doubt to Rhea and others because they have not given me one good reason. I am very much aware that this case might get closed like many others and people who did wrong might walk free because of lack(read tampering)of evidence or the required people didn't do enough investigation for whatsoever reasons. But that doesn't mean there was no foul play involved or this was an open and shut suicide case.

And coming to Bollywood, I watch very few movies of very few stars. But I had expectations from them to come out in open and give their opinion(for or against) and I am disappointed. You never know how much strength a word of support gives to those who are grieving. Honestly I don't want to watch any of their movies anymore. Not that it matters to them anyway!

Sushant, I hope you are in a better place right now. You will be missed 💔
