Kareena is really dumb and so is her PR. She gives interview to Barkha dutt and Rajeev masand , who are the most hated journalists and gives such a sad statement... Kareena, we are surely not going to watch your movies anymore

"The audience has made us, no one else has made us. Same people pointing fingers are the ones who have made these nepotistic stars right? Aap jaa re ho na film dekhne? Mat jao. Nobody has forced you. So I don’t understand it"

One more : " I don't even look at that I have anything because of my privilege background . It might sound weird but probably my struggle is there. My struggle is probably is not interesting as someone who comes on a train with Rs. 10 in pocket. It's not been that and I can't be apologetic about it. May be thats more interesting but I also have a story. Everyone has a story to tell." 😆

So Kareena's struggle story isn't interesting as someone who did so much hardwork to get that one role in movie. Not denying that everyone has a story to tell but a person who makes it on his or her own will always get more respect because that's not an easy job. That's not interesting story but a reality where people do lot of hardwork to reach where they are today. Like Siddhant said about struggle and Sapne.

Also the Doctor and Lawyer analogy 👍🏻 🤣

Same Barkha stands with Twitter head, with placard at front "Smash Brahminical patriarchy ". Why blame casteism then? That can also use the same justification.

Not stooping to name calling but there’s a certain IQ level required to open your mouth sensibly amidst the chaos in vogue currently. Sure as hell, she doesn’t have that. Her statements reek of elitism and there she goes caput by sounding just like her gossip circle.

In different times, her discourses and conversations are meaningless.

People like her think people like listening to ‘good-looking people’ than politicians! Resounding so similar to her husband’s long letter about genetics and good looking people.

She is entitled to her OPINION, that doesn’t change the fact that nepotism, favouritism and paid PR exists. I believe a humbled approach could have been to ACCEPT that privilege exists and then not be apologetic about it!

There’s a decent body of work which Kareena has done after her bimbette OTT acts! It’s okay to be vain, but dissing other people in your vanity certainly Leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

Barkha might be a good interviewer sometimes but clearly this one is so unnecessary!!!

Also, a word for your limited understanding of doctors, lawyers and journalists.

Doctors need to get a certain school grade and then COMPETE on a national level with millions of kids to get an admission to a medical degree. There are few Pvt colleges that exist too where donation seats earn you medical degree but then those degrees do NOT hold much value in jobs etc.

Lawyers too need to clear college and levels and start practising before they become accomplished.

So, equating this with Bollywood entries is HILARIOUS!

Doctors don’t hopscotch, get paparazzi click their pictures and post you on vogue covers just because you belong to a DOCTOR’s family.

Or better, they don’t get to skip internships or skip a specialist degree just because they are doctors sons or daughter. Even for specialisation they need to compete with common people.

So, hello Ms. KKK, they compete with people from all walks of life and get equal opportunities! The entrance has quota for underprivileged, undeserved sections! So, before you blow your half baked knowledge trumpet, THINK.

There’s a DIFFERENCE between : ‘ Mera beta/Beti doctor bane ga’ and ‘ Main apne bacche ko actor banaunga’

The privilege that doctor’s kids have is access to coaching material, which is a huge business and needs to be addressed in different debates.

Telling that this exists and DEAL with it reeks of insensitivity and privilege.

Afterall, she is a journalist’s daughter so it was “Obvious” that she would become one.

Except, they don't just have a leg up in terms of coaching materials, but the privilege to get into better schools from the very beginning based on money and legacy, access to better internships, and job placements, when you're dealing with colleagues and friends of your parents. They've also been steeped in the profession even before they started studying, they have insights into the careers and what's needed to succeed outside of tested job skills. And Drs and lawyers are on the far end of the regulatory spectrum. I certainly wouldn't put journalists on the same level - especially the current click bait lot. Of course acting is not a regulated career but very few jobs are strictly merit based.

This is a bit of a low blow but I just woke up from a nap & read the title as Bakra Dutt first.😆 It fits co-opters though.
