Sorry to say this because I dont like to judge but this looks rehearsed.

1. Accusations that she's absconding are super tame compared to other extremely serious accusations. So, putting up a video to prove that she's not absconding and is willing to fight for truth is lame and counter productive (As it is going to attract more backlash)

2. She is certainly not going to admit that she's guilty (if she is guilty) and is obviously going to play the "whole world is conspiring against me" card.

So, the video didn't serve any purpose. She didn't make any earth shattering revelations. A video with answers to all the questions being raised would have been more appropriate but since her lawyers don't want her to speak about the case, she should have shut up and stayed put.

Yep I agree it was counter productive and Ive said it was a dumb move. Just giving you the possible rationale

I mean, imagine the number of takes they might have taken. Still had to settle for this shot.

Rhea literally says she’s been advised not to comment by her lawyers, obviously it’s a rehearsed message. If she follows this and doesn’t comment that would be the smartest thing. I think they only released this clip because people were making up rumours of her absconding which she isn’t. She’ll defend herself legally and in court.
