However, a PIL that was filed by Alka Priya, in the Supreme Court for CBI intervention in the case has been rejected by the apex court, stated Times Now. The report stated that for the time being, the Supreme Court has refused to intervene in the investigation and stated that the police should be allowed to do their job.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh recently filed an FIR against the actor’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty at the Rajiv Nagar Police station in Patna. In the seven page long statement, it has been alleged that Rhea, along with her family members, had cheated Sushant, committed fraud, and kept him confined. Sushant's father had also cited financial irregularities in the FIR and stated, "After going through my son's bank account details, I realised that he had around Rs 17 crore in his account number 10XXXXXX91, out of which Rs 15 crore were transferred into accounts that had nothing to do with him." Questioning Rhea’s role, the FIR questioned, “If Rhea knew that Sushant was not well, why did she break off with him and block him? This is the reason he committed suicide.”

Bihar police team is running a parallel investigation in Mumbai and they recently spoke to Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Mitu Singh. She has reportedly revealed that she stayed with the actor for a few days when Rhea left his home on June 8.

That's really disappointing

A temporary setback only. I dont think the case will falter- the family only filed the FIR once they gathered their evidence and hedged their bets.

I’m sure there is still alternatives. Don’t lose hope just yet ! This is really disappointing!

I believe ED investigation has been ordered

When there is a will there is a way my friend.

Let’s not bogged down by this temporary setback. SSR family and his fans are striving hard for justice and they will get it.

this was an public interest litigation........ but if we keep the pressure up then govt can intervene
