Romanticizing toxic relationships

Hindi serials have been romanticizing toxic relationships for ages. As much as I love the chemistry between Kunal Jaisingh and Aneri Vajani in 'Pavitra Bhagya', I'd never dare to go back to someone as complicated as Reyansh Khurana.

Just because he took a stand for you a couple of times and cares for you that doesn't automatically make him a gentleman.

Him having a scarred past with his mom leading to his commitment phobia, loss of faith in conjugal and familial life cannot justify what he did to Pranati.

Also it's high time for TV show writers to stop making TV show heroines as Mahaan atmaas.

Like,Pranati c'mon yaar. This guy basically just yeeted out of the scene when he learnt that you were pregnant and has zero regret about it till date. You cannot just give him those honey dripping stares because he's applying ointment to your foot.

Also, the foot fetish thing wasn't really that romantic. It creeped the hell outta me.

Couldn't agree more.

Well isn't all the hindi shows do the same?

Abusive, arrogant heros literally harass heroines but they behave like its 'pyaar ka shagun'. Its basically a thing called Stockholm Syndrome where the victim feels affection for the kidnapper. In this case, the mahan heroine feels affection for her abuser hero.

I don't understand the point of a character like Archit too. He could be a good life partner for Pranati but clearly she'll keep choosing Reyansh over him every time.

I love Kunal Aneri chemistry thats why I started watching the show on the first place. I just try to avoid the fact that Reyansh is no good for her (trust me, its hard to do so) & enjoy the scene because of the on screen chemistry.

Otherwise if you ask me wether Prayansh is my fav couple or not.. never in a lifetime. A big NO.

Completely agree!!

Pranati doesn’t deserve Reyansh- but again which lead female character deserves male lead character?
I can go on and on with the couple names.
idk why female leads are shown as ott forgiving.

And here I feel both are at fault. They were 18 when they got pregnant. Anybody would freak out. I mean if I had gotten pregnant even when I was 25 I would personally freak out. I know couples who have pregnant and gotten abortion done because they weren’t ready.

I want to know their back story

but today’s preview was horrible - if Reyansh is still using pranati — I don’t think it is forgiving.
Teen pregnancy was a mistake committed by them both.
but at 26 if he is using her for his benefit- It is a whole new low.

Like so many of you have said... As much as I love the chemistry between leads, it's pathetic show in terms of story as well as characterization of leads and people around.

In past, we have seen female leads falling for someone else after male leads have proved to be jerk! I would have really found it relatable and better if only Pranati's character was mature enough to see goodness of Archit and fallen for him... Then fine, go ahead and be mahaan...cry for hurting him and be hurt yourself... But her still lingering around Reyansh is soooo annoying..

The whole courtroom drama was stupid! Being a woman giving that idiotic speech to Pranati, that a child needs father as much.. She could see that atleast Pranati was ready to move into a stable relationship. And Archit could have possibly given the 'baap ka pyaar'... As per storyline It really needed a push towards joint custody, nothing would have been better than Jugnu choosing Reyansh and then giving them joint custody to tell off Reyansh that a child needs 'maa ka pyaar'... He literally had NO ONE to give a child and hence joint custody would make so much sense because Jugnu chose Reyansh!

And of course then Pranati breaking off with Archit, but still garnering feelings making it difficult for Reyansh... Etc would have made hell lot sense than the stupidity that's being shown...

Later on they could have just killed Archit or made him negative to make him less likable... But currently, Pranati and Reyansh are like least likeable characters as per the current storyline!

I agree and I dont want them to get back together. Reyansh and family is not for Praniti. She deserve to be happy and love. I love their cute scene like friends but when they show us eye lock with BG music, I feel really uncomfortable. I don't think I will be able to see them as couple. I love both the character individually and can understand both of them. I love how they gave more depth to Reyansh and show us why he is like that and I cant hate Rey. I liked the fact how he is honest with himself and praniti. He never lied to her. He was clear from the beginning he is not cut for commitment but that wouldn't justify what he did to praniti. He leave her all alone with his baby on his womb.

I would love to see them getting together as jugnu parents, Reyansh becoming responsible father and a person. Because both need to move on from their past and start leaving in present. Praniti need to let go the feeling for Reyansh love or hate. That emotion is holding her back to fall in love again. And Reyansh need to know the value of Relationships. Both deserves to happy but not together.

I know they kinda sound pathetic but can't help love those two.

The plot after lockdown is deteriorated.

I kinda feel bad for Archit. That guy is stuck in the middle of nowhere. At the same time, with all his family members hating on Pranati,he'd not be able to defend her. At the same time, accepting Jugnu as a step child would be a huge step. Is Archit's character that strong? I don't know.

Since this is a drama and Reyansh is the hero,I'm pretty sure the writers would show a redemption of his character. Even so, there are a lot of things Reyansh needs to realise by himself and fix up.

It needs to be Reyansh this time to put some actual and genuine effort.

I really want to know what Pranati actually feels for Archit. Like,is she just guilty for breaking his heart or she's actually sad about it? From what I've seen, she has shown more compassion towards Reyansh than Archit. I really hate when the writers try to make the second lead negative just to glorify the lead hero. Let's just hope they don't decide to turn Archit into some obsessive lover 😂😂
