Why did Kareena walk out of Ram Leela? - Page 2

Kareena found Ranveer Singh disgusting as he was not an A- lister during that time. She left the movie to do Gori tere gaon mein with Imran Khan . She wanted to do easy roles during that time where she could piggy back to success.

After the movie got hit she got really pissed and her movie with Imran got flopped .She then gave interview that she gives roles to another actors on her charity platter.

Oh man, I forgot about Guzaarish! That was such a sad film, no wonder it bombed.

I also read that KKK wanted to be paid extra for the additional days of shooting he requested right before her wedding but he refused. But again, conflicting views. I also read he sent out feelers to PC about the role while Kareena had not yet left and that really miffed her.

I think maybe they're both headstrong and temperamental. It's tough to imagine Bebo in that role now but a career making role for Deepika, obviously! How she must've thanked her stars haha

Date issues. SLB asked for 50 extra days with no additional pay.

The schedule also went through the period that she was getting married (which SLB was also said to be inflexible about).

There were one or two articles that indicated that SLB was also not fond of the idea of his lead actress being married. She had signed on for the movie before her wedding date was fixed.

Kareena had said on more than one occasion that she was looking forward to working with Ranveer in Ram Leela.

Actually, I don't think so at all. Deepika already had a Cocktail, YJHD, Chennai Express that already took her to great heights. Bhansali's films didn't add much value to her career, except may be the songs. Nagada sang dhol (Ram Leela), Deewani Mastani (BM), Ghoomar (Padmaavat). As an actress, she hardly benefitted much.

Films like Piku actually captured acting chops from her. Not Bhansali's films. Although yes, she hoped it would do to her career what SLB did to Ash's career. But that strategy was wrong. Her career would have been much better if she didn't collaborate with SLB. Just my two cents.

Bebo ji was above Ranveer at that point. Her high and mighty attitude got the best of her (purely what I think)
