"It's easy to talk on a forum"....kindly save the statement for folks who have no personal experience when it comes to dealing with people with mental illness or struggling with one themseleves.
All I stated there was if you are out there making statements about your eternal, exponential love then folks are bound to wonder what do those words even mean considering the context we are talking about here. If I were trying to blame Rhea, I would do that without having to hide it under any guise. I infact stated it's not easy to be with someone who's struggling with severe depression or any other mental health issue because it can take a toll on you as well. Please read a little about caregiver's burden and how at times the people who are caring for someone struggling with a mental health issue can themseleves end up struggling with one.
So like I said I wasn't blaming someone. I was wondering what unconditional love and support could have done for him during those days. Esp when there was a lockdown. Esp when there was no outlet as such.
As for it does happen and has happened a lot....for anyone to take such a step, they have to be experiencing an amount of pain most out there can't imagine. This notion that mental health issues exist in a vacuum is beyond baffling. It's mind boggling that people who claim to care about mental health don't even want to scratch the surface of the factors that can exacerbate or trigger someone's mental health issues. I guess scratching the surface in this case might open a Pandora's box that most don't want to acknowledge so hey...let's not blame the industry....blah...blah.
