We need Karan summoned NOT his manager

In the latest development in the probe into actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death by suicide, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has assured all that director Karan Johar's manager has been summoned and even filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt will be called in by the Mumbai police in the coming week.

In a statement to reports, Deshmukh said, "In 1-2 days Mahesh Bhatt's statement will be taken. Then under CrPC Kangana Ranaut has also been summoned. Whoever is needed we will summon."

When asked about the police calling in director Karan Johar for questioning, he said, "Karan Johar's manager has been summoned, and if needed we'll summon Karan Johar as well."

He also went on to reveal that the police are continuing the investigation from a business angle. He said, "Is there a coterie that prevents outsiders from coming to Bollywood? This we'll probe from a business angle."

According to reports, around 39 people have already been questioned by the police thus far. These not only include film critic Rajeev Masand, director-producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and filmmaker Aditya Chopra, but also family, friends and acquaintances of the actor.

These summons come in days after Kangana Ranaut made stark allegations that certain members of the Bollywood film fraternity were responsible for 'systematic boycott' of the actor.

Reacting to the news, Kangana's team hit out at the police in a tweet on the handle - Team Kangana Ranaut, that read, "So Karan Johar’s manager is summoned but not @AUThackeray's best friend @karanjohar!! @MumbaiPolice stop making a joke out of SSR murder investigations."

Claiming that the police are displaying 'blatantly shameless nepotism', another tweet read, "How can @MumbaiPolice display blatantly shameless nepotism even in issuing summons? Kangana has been issued summon not her manager but Chief Minister’s son’s best friend’s manager is called for questioning, why? saheb ko pareshani na ho issliye?"

Following Rajput's demise, Kangana released a two-minute video speaking highly of the deceased actor and accusing certain sections of the film industry for not acknowledging the star's talent.

Kangana had also claimed that some of the last social media posts by the actor made it evident that he was struggling to survive in the industry.

This proves how Mumbai police are favoring johar and bhatt. When aditya chopra and Bhansali can be summoned then why soft corner for johar and Bhatt?

Karan Johar needs to be summoned to find out the circumstances of DRive being released on OTT if the actor and the director had a difference of opinion on it coz there were reports on it, if there is a Bollywood coterie and nexus that makes or breaks a career.

I wonder why Drive which was supposed to release in Sep 2018 was pushed to release in June 2019 only to be released on OTT in Nov, 2019.

For this reason, alone he needs to be questioned

They came a little bit under pressure to at least LOOK like they are trying to get to the truth after the public uproar. But everyone knows they are doing nothing. They already made up their mind about the verdict on the spot.

Yes, after his fallout with Adi. His friend came into the picture to further ruin Sushant's career. Drive clearly was a trap. And that is sabotage .

They are delaying it until the evidence is further tampered with. They haven't even sealed his flat. So the forensic evidence there can clearly have been tampered with. Who fingerprints are there among other things?

True. I am very shocked. But I believe in Dr. Swami and Ishkaran. Hopefully they will bring light into this case.

I was even more surprised when the news came in either from sandeep or Sushant sister that we need to evacuate from the flat as we cannot pay the rent. I was shocked. If the news is true it means sandeep or his sister are more concerned about the flat than the death of Sushant.

Maybe they are also being pressured from certain forces. Who knows? But there has to be some way around the family asking for CBI.
