I don't know why but this drama reminds me of Woh Mera Dil Tha. But in the verse version. There the girl was loving another man and forced to get married to his friend due to a misunderstanding. Here it will be the guy who loved someone else, and will marry her friend also forcibly I think.😉

I liked Woh Mera Dil Tha :) In that one though, Madiha never flip-flopped between the two men. When her cousin came back, you never for a second thought that she was interested in him again, whatever her relationship with her husband was at the time. And Sami was never self-sacrificing to the extent that I'm expecting Mahi to be in this. He let her go, but he never tried to encourage her to rekindle her relationship with the cousin.

I think this is going to be a lot more like Khoobserat: Ahsan is going to be more wishy-washy about the two women. And Ushna is going to be like Dilkash trying to force a relationship between him and Roshni because that's what she thinks he wants instead of fighting for her own marriage.

Yes. WMDT was good in many things. It is written by : Faiza Iftikhar who wrote BEDS ..so I think she'll come with somthing different than Khoobseerat. She has a modern approach to lovestories which makes her dramas special. I hope we see Mahi fighting for her marriage here..and Ahsan as a responsible guy.

I hope so too, and the promos and stuff are more Geo trying to make the drama seem more Geo-typical. I only started watching this because I found out that it was written by Faiza. I haven't seen a lot of her dramas but I enjoy the way she writes family relationships- not just a central passionate love story. I think I enjoyed Woh Mera Dil Tha because the relationship between Naina and her in-laws was as sweet as the one she had with her husband. It was kind of the love story of Naina and Zaid and Zaid's family, lol. And I do like the humourous tone she writes with.

So far this show does have kind of the same DNA, you're right. I enjoy the playful chemistry Asad and Mahi have. And the families are hilarious. Altho, I am more amused than I should be that the lady who played Asad's brother's wife in Aangan has been promoted to playing Hina's mother. I hope you're right and this doesn't become a negative Geo-style love triangle drama.

I just realized how beautifull WMDT was. I don't know what was going wrong with me when I watched it. I am a big fan of Sami/Madiha from Dhani. There chemistry there was electrifying. So I kept comparing it with WMDT, and felt a bit disappointed. 😔 But now I feel it was a well made and a highly underrated drama. 😊

I too love Ahad Mahi's friendship. They may grow on me when we get rid of Roshni.🤔 The families are another highlight in the drama. The fight between both Sabas was hilarios.🤣 I didn't even understand the whole story behind that piece of cloth.😆

Yes Geo has the habit of promoting their dramas in the same way, all seem depressing and focussing on the OST only. I have full trust on Faiza , she won't let us down .

So I started watching latest epi and after half episode I got severe headache and left the episde in middle (for now)

Positives:

-all outfits and juwelry at the ceremony function

-Saba faisal overall look

- moannas and Umar dance incl convo

-Roshni´s mother´s summary on Umar

-Ahsan/umar´s face freshness and beautiful eyes standing out in a quite moment

-During Biryani eating scene there was for a split second a nice atmosphere between Mahi and Umar. If Umar would accept the marriage later on/ handle it maturely, this couple could lead a good life.

-Umar serving guest, for a moment his tone and body language was very mature

Negatives:

-Despite being the best looking (alongside Saba Faisal) the hero Sahab´s shoddy dressing at ceremony. No doubt he was in hurry, but didnt he have any other suitable outfit?!

- The dance was good and bad. Umar´s dancing style was too much Pakistani morning show style (Ahsan/Umar needs to calm down alot. Hes at the moment the most annoying character 😲. Cant believe I actually had to write this about an Ahsan character).

-This drama has Saba faisal in it yet the Urdu is not spetacular. Too regular. I miss Saba Faisal´s choice of words from Thora sa haq.

- The "lightheartedness"/its circus music starting to go on my nerves.

- The fight between dewrani and Jhethani was criiiiiiiiinge. I hope it serves in end a bigger purpose

-The chemistry free friendship between Roshni and Mahi.

On a side note, Roshni is a negative character but who can blame her for not taking Umar serious and lashing out at him etc.

I really miss Ahsan´s serious characters, there are moments in this drama where it comes across as though Ahsan has forgotten how to act

Roshni will leave umar for her cousin and umar heart will break. Umar started working with his father. Roshni spent time with hus cousin and she completely forget umar.

I was wondering if Roshni's cousin is as interested in her as she thinks he is, lol.

Ahsan was surprisingly quite good in this episode, everything handled relatively mature. No jumping jackness. I liked how he revealed to Mahi his vulenarable side. Hes for sure going to be shattered once roshni will ditch him.

Also the first conversation between umar and mahi in this epi had a nice chemistry between them. I am slowly shipping them together. And yes I did notice Mahi´s loyalty and genuineness towards umar #wifematerial. And may be somewhere along she respects his personality too despite his flaws. Hope Umar falls in love with her soon after marriage.

Roshni annoyed the hack out of me. That new guy, his screen presence is nowhere near that of Ahsan´s. 🤗. Lookwise Ahsan reminded me of his ptv drama days. #forever young. Talking of looks, saba faisal barely had any dialogues but shes always a treat to look at .

This episode was better than all the previous ones, yet towards the end I stared to get bored, slow, stretched scenes and headache by the end.
