Weird. Will she stop doing her job for fear of being trolled?

I mean the editing and technical things were choppy but SSR truly was magical in it and the role seemed to bleed into reality so it was even more special for us fans! How hard is it to do it while being respectful of him and his loss? It's what all reviewers have done, unless they are exceptional assh*les or trying to make a point like Komal Nahta

I just read Komol's review and it reads like a regular normal review - talks about acting, plot, character actions, music etc. It's not even harsh about SRR - the criticism is that the part isn't good enough for his talent. But it's created a lot of anger and hurt feelings.

So, no I don't think there's a space for normal reviewing and since Chopra admitted she couldn't review it normally it's best she didn't review it. It's not as if she's a soft ball reviewer; she often goes against the popular audience consensus.

Maybe she's not in the head space and has been rattled by Chetan Bhagat heckling her. But it is possible to review it truthfully while keeping the context in mind. I guess Anupama has had enough. Also her connection to VVC means she will be extra scrutinised as an "insider" trashing him, like Komal was perhaps. Fair enough

Good decision from her. No need to get emotionally deluded by the film and give fake praises

True just like what they are saying about Komal
Nahta now. People forgot all the good things he did on the show when he brought smaller actors like Vipin Sharma, Pankaj, that Ghajini guy etc to the show and very smartly compiled the footage of the shows where he was joking with some actor to fulfil their agenda. Imagine if Anupama says something about a movie, you know about the arrogance of IT cell and especially how they treat women, they would have started giving her rape threats

I don't think this film requires a review. Its difficult to watch and process objectively. But one thing she said that I agree with. "The possibility of real change has been hijacked by settling scores and personal agendas." YES. It is so sad that people are trying to use his death to settle personal scores and make it all about themselves.
