are you insinuating that she was responsible for the blind item? that is why you seem outraged (to me) that her reputation wasn't besmirched (like his was) and went "scot free" .. what repercussion should she have faced?

It is not easy. I have faced a similar smear campaign done by my ex employer. It takes tonnes of guts and patience to deal with such situation. You need to be really strong. I wished he hired a lawyer and filed a case of defamation against false rumors. He could have sued the publication for spreading false news.

Poor guy was made to look like a pervert when in fact most of his videos of him shows he was nothing but a Gentleman. He was awkward but never the kind he was portrayed in the media.

But after having to write a blind every week, he started to copy blinds from other portals. Or take up a news item that wasn't a blind and dressed it up to make it one. With that kind of standards, I am pretty sure he started making up stuff as blinds in order to fill his weekly quota.

He acted as a PR conduit for stars and his non-blind news items were filled with what a particular star wanted to broadcast. When Bombay velvet was delayed by almost a year, he wrote an item saying Kashyap wanted to take it to Cannes and that's why the move is delayed. I've lost count of the number of times that Deepika was supposed to be in talks with a famous director for some movie. According to him, she would be starring in movies with Ritesh Batra, Shoojit (after Piku), Sriram Raghavan, SRK's Zero and many more. In fact on the last point, he went to town confirming that Deepika was to star in Zero. Every single one of this was fake. He doesn't seem bothered by this though.

If his news standards are so low, then I get the impression that he just didn't bother to do any due diligence with his blinds. He threw whatever is out there to fill his column inches.

Masand picked up blinds from IF too few years back.

Because they’re never written for the elite nepo group.

I wasn’t insinuating anything...May be she was responsible, may be she wasn’t...we will probably never know!
