Anyone seen/remember this movie

It was on TV recently, caught a few scenes here and there

Shahruk’s first movie, don’t remember seeing much discussions about it here

It was Hema Malini’s first too as a director

She repeated the same theme years later when she directed “Tell me God” with her daughter, instead of three mothers it was three fathers

It was kinda funny, unintentionally 😆

Divya Bharati had the prominent role while SRK was in the background

This was his first movie but lucky for him Deewana was released first and it was a hit, while this one was a flop

How did she make Mamma Mia before HW made theirs? Is that an adaptation?

It had such an abrupt ending.. Mithun came out of the blue.. he and Dimple look at each other.. Shahrukh's dad accept Divya and his alliance and the movie ends

I was left wondering whether Dimple and Mithin ever got together😆

But HW’s Mamma Mia was released in 2008

while Hema’s version in 2011

if you’re talking about Dil Aashna Hai, it was a remake of TV mini series Lace which itself was based on a novel by Shelley Conran

Oops! I confused it with Rekha's Mother. Released before Mamma Mia, had the same story as MM.

Yeah Mama Mia story is very similar to the 1968 movie “Buona Sera, Mrs Campbell”

Maybe Mother was inspired from the same movie :-)
