I wouldnāt assume that unless it is not trending in Canada or UK either where thereās significant Punjabi population. Iād assume itās doing well in UK with Raj Baddhan doing their interview. No idea about Canada. Anyway, Shehnaaz isnāt expecting anything much from Punjabi janta as much as she would be happy if they supported. So thatās just as well. Itās actually remarkable then if she with Tony has managed to penetrate a non-Punjabi demography altogether.Originally posted by: CatcherInTheRye

any grudges against Punjabis Uma?? By Punjabi janta, I didn't mean that Punjabis dun like her, in Australia they loved her and supported her immensely. It is just that may b we coudlnt connect to urban Punjabi tone of the song. And I have noticed sana stans from Canada showing their displeasure for the song, yday.
Itās trending at no.2 here in the UK šš¼
No. You are the one who mentioned that it seemed Punjabis didnāt like the song. Not me š¤·āāļø And I just repeated what she has always said. That she hasnāt felt the love and support and so I assume she wouldnāt be expecting much either.Originally posted by: CatcherInTheRye

Punjabi populations are highest in USA, Canada and UK with the difference in community representation between Canada and UK being marginal. Since the songās trending #2 in UK, I thought it would be mistaken and far-fetched to assume Punjabis donāt like the song. So, I would hope for Shehnaazā sake that Punjabi janta like her song.
As for Punjabis, I have a major issue with parochialism and obsession when it comes to regional language and identity. Itās something I learnt only after knowing Shehnaaz herself and after being on this forum too.
Omg this is huge !!!! Itās trending worldwide no 1 š„³š¤ŖI just canāt wait for the first look ā¤ļø
