I don't think so coz the movie shows him coming from a film family, a dynasty in fact. His younger brother being a star too. All those don't go with Rajanikanth. There are other inconsistentencies too. So, it must be someone else. We can rule out Rajanikanth.

SLB is not known to historically "accurate" but that was jarring...
