Question is about if we have better actors than Ranbir, not if we have more successful actors? Even in his flop movies like Tamasha and Rocket Singh, one cant deny his acting is natural. Someone like Sri Devi also had many flops but it's the acting and impact one leaves, that counts. Lamhe is seen as an iconic movie today whereas back then it was not regarded a hit. Same is happening with movies like Tamasha and Rocket Singh. Plus, his flops movies like Roy (where he wasnt even a lead) and Besharam ave 10cr openings so it's not his acting thay sucks, it's the script and that can happen to any good actor including a Sushant or a Rajkumar.

If I judge from the panel of actors we have today, Ranbir outshines them all. Even without the Kapoor name, he would have made it. There is a reason almost every single actress wants to work with Ranbir, because he is a fine actor of the current gen. From Alia to Disha to Tara to Shradhha to Tripti D.

Lol, no one remembers those movies, Ranbir is a hype on this forum, outside, no one cares about him, like with most things in bollywood, mediocrity gets hyped like anything, Ranbir is average at best, personally, I find him completely unimpressive.

You are only seeing from your lenses. Try to look from a different view as well. Fair enough hes not your cup of tea but that doesnt mean noone cares about him which is such a subjective statement. He is a good talent and thats why many want to work with him. Irfaan Khan, Amitabh Bahchan, Aamir Khan, SRK, AK, Ayushman etc have all stated how they think hes one of the finest actors we have today. And pretty much most of the current gen actresses have expressed their desire to work with him. He has impressed the right people dont worry.

Btw saying he is a hype on this forum is a good joke.

You bought that seriously. I can accept that she is a decent actress in the roles where she has to act kiddish (pretty repetitive; haven't seen Udta Punjab) but now if we are discussing her dance in Kalank then please spare me from reliving that torture. I'm more interested by what people do, not what they say, how many have actually worked with him, hardly any of them. Many of them would also like to work with Salman, doesn't mean he's a great actor.

Now obviously this is my opinion, just as it's your opinion that he a great actor, both subjective opinions, that's what art is, what's not subjective though is that most of his films are flops. He was hyped up to be the next big superstar, never happened, were it not for his surname, he would never have been in the industry, let alone receive the hype that he does.

Ranbir has improved a lot, He used to give same blank expressions earlier in his carrier. He has superb movie line. Barfi, Jagga, APKGK, Sanju (haven't seen it coz I can't tolerate glorification of a criminal), Rocket, Wake up Sid.

He won't look good in masala action as he looks too uber-urban. Neither I can imagine him in Period dramas. But he has nailed other genres.

For the first time I saw Madhuri visibly irritated in interviews. Alia literally forced Madhuri to say it was hard for both to do Ghar More. She was pestering Madhuri and Madhuri just relented. Alia is that annoying 😂

As for her dance, Madhuri wasn’t gonna say “You suck . Go Home and stop disrespecting Kathak”.

Alia jumping everywhere during promotions was so funny. She was taught by KJo coz same vibe. During interviews or dance or movies.

To be fair I find both limited as actors...

Ranbir plays the man child really well but that’s it. He always plays this stubborn unlikeable idiot who gets his way. He dosent have too much ease in comic scenes (barfi was more visual Charlie Chaplin type humour...I’m talking more dialogue based)

Aliaa plays the child woman / bubbly girl/ sweet girl really well but I’m not really a fan of her crying/emotional scenes

Also she seems like a kid who walks into the candy store and says oh I want that and that and that and overcommits 😂 and can’t keep up....
