Movies that KJO snatched for Alia?

I have been reading so much on this forum regarding KJO snatching movies from others to give to Alia that I really want to understand which movies did he snatch and from whom?

It's a known fact that he favors Alia and does push directors to cast her in Dharma's own productions so lets assume all of Dharma's movies that Alia has done is due to KJO. Again it comes down to his money his choice.

Now coming to the movies she has done or is doing outside Dharma: Highway, Udta Punjab, Gully Boy, Gangubai, Sadak 2, RRR

Is there any factual evidence that KJO had anything to do with her casting for these movies? Any evidence that KJO arm twisted the producers and directors of these movies to cast her? Anyone who has actually claimed that or is it just assumption?

Also, which movies did he snatch from SSR and to give to whom?

Apparently Dear Zindagi was going to star Katrina and Kjo got Alia

That being said thats not the first time it happened to Katrina 😆. A vishesh film called Saaya. It was produced by Mahesh Bhat starring John Abraham & Tara Sharma and Katrina once alluded she was let go from that film in a interview she did from Masand and I think Salman was there also. She said she cried cause she was replaced. Now it seems to me Katrina is the problem 🤣

Watch Rajeev Masand's interview of Alia. She herself explains it in detail that Dear Zindagi was suppose to be done with another actress. Even if he is producing the movies. The vision of the movie still remains with the director and they are best apt to decide who would suit it best. Especially talented ones like the maker of Dear Zindagi. I enjoyed it with Aloo. But if the director had a different actress in mind than a vision good enough to make such a movie was probably right.

I think so far Dear Zindagi and Highway are confirmed. Sadak 2 is her father's film and I'm sure she was the first choice for it. I hardly think Karan has anything to say in SLB casting.

However, I don't think he snatched any movie from SSR.

Queen may not be the first choice but she is the last and best option provided by Bollywood. Even if the story demands a mature woman, sorry Bollywood have none. Make do with Queen.

I am thinking if only Rajamouli known earlier as a good filmmaker, Queen would have been Rajamata, Devasena and Avantika in both Bahubali. Or at least in the Hindi version. Well, it's the audience's loss.

Well if you look at her filmography it says alot. Her second movie was highway and KJO himself has said that he asked Imtiaz to cast her in that movie (that to added I think Imtiaz was close with Mahesh Bhatt). Anyway after that she continued to do movies all with Dharma if you notice. Then it was only until Udta Punjab which Shahid spoke to her about and she went to Abhisekh Chaubey for did that chain break for one movie. She then continued with Dharma and then got Gully boy (fair enough if Zoya thought she was suited for the part). But you can see that she has had to build her career majorly with Dharma to get the point now after 8 years that she may get offers from other production houses more frequently without KJO intervening.

There is a fine line between blatantly asking for a film and having others do that for you and requesting to be considered for it.

Dear zindagi is already know that katrina was the first choice and gauri was pushed to take her. That’s the lowest it gets in terms of how she has gotten work. This was after her atrocious shaandaar. She would never be considered for it.

Highway. Kjo asking imtiaz to cast her after soty. Most girls would have to audition for a role like that. And on top of that her performance was overrated to no end by every platform out there

Kalank. She was not fit, and saying she would be upset if she’s not cast and that some things need to be tweaked for her

Udta Punjab. She told the director that she wanted to be apart of the film. This is fine, to a degree. as she herself went to the director and no one forced him to allow her to do the movie.
But there were also rumors that shahid slyly passed the script to her without the director not knowing. Other actresses may have gotten the script over her. This would be wrong.

She may act pretty well with her opportunities, but her whole career leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

this is actually an instance where the film got saved . Katrina would've ruined Kaira with her botox acting plus they were better off with someone who looks in her 20s for that character.

that’s not the point. The point is how she got the film. Whether she did more justice to the role is not the point and it is’t at all justified just because she “performed well”

And alia looked about 14 in that film. It was said she would look too young in the role, and guess what she did.

I think she was okay in Dear Zindagi. I think Katrina would had been a better choice. Katrina needs a good director. I think she was good in Rajneeti, and ZNMD.
